Just out of interest. Is the scale/harmony your playing over the last chord the C alt scale Rodger or some form of it with a few extra notes ie Be-Bop additions at some points, or maybe some F Blues. Can't quite catch them. Cheers
4 CHORD VAMPIRISTIC DRESSED IN A SUIT AND MAYBE WITH A TIE. Always supurb, dynamic, interesting and very informative. I can go on and on you know. Thanks always for sharing !
@joeholtsnotes Ha ha! Funny you mention the sport coat. I had just finished-up at my office and decided to lay down this quick take and stay in my "Clark Kent" disguise. ;-)
Only you, the "King of Quotes" would hear a quote that was done totally unbeknownst to the quoter. ;-)
Now you enter my world: Imagine if you did notice...maybe you would have a look of "now, how did that get in there" too! Of course, we seldom see your face, so who knows what you're thinking. :)
this is nothing but amazing

Thank you for your tutorial.
By any chance, have you done also exact copy of any of HH's improvisations? If so, it would be great to see those with Midikeys.

Yes, I guess you could consider it some type of a C altered scale. The main notes I am using are C-Db-Eb-E-Gb-Ab-C

Ok. Many thanks.

Jazz in a suit jacket (or sport coat).
Description is very good/instructive.
Felt right at home when I heard "Stranger in Paradise" implied at :38.
Nice, Roger! *****

PD - which is the 4th chord of the theme - C7/#9 (as often played by LH), Db7 (as on video annotation) or Gb7 (as in video description)? Thanx
urbania70 1 year ago
@urbania70 yes it is in fact a C7#9 but with Gb being played in the bass makes it a Gb13 - but it's tritone sub stuff anyway.
Lot2learn 1 year ago
Oh yes sure.. thanx!
