  • nice rifles. i was looking at an m24 earlier today, might pick it up. any suggestions as to what i should look for?

  • @zzohmzz Check the barrel and action for cosmoline...if there is none, then you know it's been fired a bit. And if the barrel doesn't look mirror bright or immaculate MOVE ON and get a different one. As you can see in my later vids., the M24/47 cleans up really good...if you pay more than $220.00 though, it better be mint condition, because they just aren't worth much more than that.

  • @20thcenturyfilmdocs thanks, i will do that.

  • My aren't we all a bit touchy about making fun of the nazis...you probably don't even know movie that comes from. Nor do know the inside joke on why I did that...whatever.

  • @20thcenturyfilmdocs You can make fun of the Nazi's all you want but what I mean is that's the German national anthem which is still in use to day, so technically it's making fun of Germans. I'm part German so it's only natural that I don't like it. Not trying to be an arse, it's just my opinion.

  • What's with the piss take on the German national anthem at the beginning, it's unecessary and a bit stupid.

  • since when does jg sell the k98?? every time i've looked there for one they don't sell it

  • @xXCoUnTeRxStRiKeXx They no longer do, haven't in about 6 months...this video was filmed over a year ago, posted on my old channel before it got shut down in Nov. of 2010...You basically have to go to Rguns and "build" your own K98 now, which goes for about $110 for the stock + $220 for the barrel/receiver/bolt parts + shipping

  • @20thcenturyfilmdocs well thats ridiculous

  • @20thcenturyfilmdocs or u could go to mauser.org or mauser.net to pick one up for $400 plus the fees

  • @MrPugero69 OR, you can go to J&G Sales, Southern Ohio Gun, or Rguns and build your own K98! For easily $100 less...

  • @20thcenturyfilmdocs go to mauser.net and they sell a wide variety of mausers and you could probably pick up a 98k for $400 plus the fees

  • @MrPugero69 Mitchell's amusers are crap as far as genuine K98s go. They look nice but are fraudulent and have no collector value. They are restamped by mitchells to have "all matching numbers". They are a good representation of what a new mauser would look like (except for the bolt which should be blued and not in the white). They are good shooters but are not historically correct.

  • @Okaym0053 I know, who's hatin' on this? I mean I would like a pristine rifle too, but the LAST thing I want to do is refinish this gun (even after those Commie bastards refurbed it)...

  • Aww, who the hell disliked this vid?
