I can only laugh at all the people trying to bash on America. Pay attention you dumb fucks. America backed Japan, South Korea, and West Germany. Each one turned into a modern powerhouse. China backed North Korea... look how that turned out. So what have your countries done for others? We reformed and shaped genocidal countries like Germany and Japan. We brought and fought for democracy in South Korea and it paid off. What have your countries done in the modern age for other nations?

@Jaiyeson Its unfortunate, because if we move in to help a country we are considered imperialist, however if we don't help or don't help ENOUGH we are considered spoiled/isolationist. In WWII we might have came in late (we wanted neutrality) but, we supplied used WWI destroyers to the British which they outfitted, and did not need to return (many were destroyed), we even built a lot of the Spitfires parts here when the factories were bombed. Also lets not forget everything we supplied to Russia.

Google "Kurds Genocide" then tell me where the fuck was the U.N.? Elections are held on local and national levels. Over 5000 schools built/renovated. School attendence up over 70 percent. Over 3 1/2 mil children got immunized, People now have widespread access to clean water/electricity. Thats just the TIP of what the U.S. has done in Iraq alone

Yes, the US does do many great things, however they also do many horrible things. And in my opinion they have caused more negative results then positive. And yet "millions" of North Koreans have died from starvation and thousands are forced to work in concentration camps to this very day. Good thing the U.N. is there to enforce humanitarian rights... He said that Americans are lucky, have homes, food, and 5-yr old kids eating at 5 Guys w/ their parents. And then he followed that up with "Grow up, America." I saw no correlation between the two statements, so I asked what he meant by that. I got no response. It's probably just as well.

I agree that people shouldn't make such a huge deal about the smoking though. Many NK children are starving and/or suffer from various health problems due to food shortage and substandard medical facilities.

The principle of smoking is pretty easy, it supresses the hunger. That's why the baby smokes, don't make silly assumptions like them being able to afford cigs but not food. It might be bad for the long term but it'll be better for the short time surival.
