Yeah...he´s best singing are FAAR from what he does in DT...They always makes him sing things that doesn´t fit quite. DT is maing different music now than they did when he joined them. In he´s solo-work he can sing they way he likes and make the music fit more.

In the SC-documentry you can see that PORTNOY says wich way he should sing...thats a BIG shame for me. Let he sing they way he wants.

It´s just that DT´s new style doesn´t always fit so good to he´s voice at times...you know?

Yes, the one that wrote the lyrics can /and should) tell him he´s way of seeing the lyrics and feelings...but that means that James sometimes try to sing things he´s voice doesn´t fit to. He should sing inside what that sounds good and say more what he hears and wants to sing. I like the thought of him singing what he wants instead.
