Ben Stiller was both a cast member and a writer for SNL during the 1989 season. He left after 5 completed shows because SNL was did not want him to write anymore. His career there was a short one but his time there still makes him SNL alumni. Sorry I had to school you, check the facts before you assume next time.
I even double checked and your totally right he was a member i dontk now if that makes him an alumni in the sense of other members being dubbed alumni, but he was deffinetly a member.
