  • also forgot to mention that will keep all the nature of this continent protected fron the European devils, including the Fish...

  • i wish the Europeans=White people could go learn how to fish in Europe, and stay there and never comeback, now that will make the whole world a better place.....

  • i'm good at catching saltwater minnows by the shore with a net. i just gotta watch out for stingrays

  • and u need the water to be cycled ( nitrogen cycle) and have all chlorine and flouride removed if your tap water contains that and preferably the right ph that minnows like and enough room for them and a good filtration system or plants and weekly water changes and an aerator

  • what is the best bait to catch minnows and if you tell me cat or dog food ill say wet or dry plz tell me

  • @spsfish1 dude doesnt matter if it's wet or dry. it's gonna get wet anyway.

  • i caught alot of minnows with that same trap lol

  • i thought you could't use live bait in qubec? but i have some really good videos of us trapping minnows i run about 450 minnows traps in the winter and about 800 in the summer

  • what kind of minnows are those

  • hey i was wondering if any one knowes the laws about selling and tradping bait in timiscamang qubec

  • at 1:58 he stpped on one lol

  • bait?

  • More than likely the ammonia will rise in that bucket and the majority will die within a few hours

  • @pshiel u are a dumb. its likely that the fucking things will live just fine even without air for a long time. i have cought bait fish for a long time there really tuff. they can live in the bucket in the back of my truck for days without dying

  • @pshiel they can live in cool weather in damp grass for up to 4 days, they are in bucket only long enough to get home to a large areated holding tank ...

  • those are big minnows

  • wat do u do with this

  • A few questions, Where did you get the trap? or did you make it? And second how deep would you place a trap in warmer waters in the summer?

  • what minnows are they lol

  • hey were do u catch ur minows

  • 1 word AWSOME!

  • u have a good bait spot .... dont ruin it , take what u need and release the rest ... i bet u can fish some big fish at ur spot in spring .... looks like a wicked swampy bass pike ... maybe even musky spot...u a fellow canadian? nice catch

  • If you like this video on catching bait fish,

check out the video for collapse-a-trap

  • btw this has nothing to do with this video but once in awhile i would go buy minnows from scheels and i get these fish different from normal minnows. i got about four baby walleyes already and two fish that look like a northern pike but no long snout as a pike would hav. some one please tell me wat type of fish is there other than a normal minnow or the usual bait fish.

  • do you like shallow water for minnows or deep water?

what do you use for bait?

  • deeper in winter cause the ice will freeze to bottom is shoal areas, and anyhting will work for bait, crackers, bread, dogfood etc

  • @hiltzter

i dont have any luck with bait traps lol

  • @magelaugh123 anytime there is open water

  • lol i have like 50 streams around my area and i dont see any minnows

  • I used dog food for my minnow traps and I get really good results with it. I've got a few eels aswell, makes great catfish bait.

  • @sargemil what kind of dog food.

  • @jtschid0910 i used ol'roy hard dog food. any hard dog food should work well.

  • would cat food work?

  • @chickadeeonfire Yeah cat food works well. I found that if you put something shiny in the cage like a piece of aluminum foil it will attract a few more minnows.

  • Thx a lot it works. i live with a canal in my backyard so i catch spearing...or silversides...or shiners...or whatever you like to call 'em. xD

    I love fishing. :)

  • bread works well.

  • What kinds of minnows???

  • what type of bait do you use for the trap?

  • Hey! i have the same trap! it gets alot of minnows doesn't it? i got over 40 once

  • 40? lol Thats allllooooot of minnows. Almost as much as i catch. On a good day ill get 40 dozen lol

  • holy shit man. hey ever used a plastic one before cuz i want to see how good they are

  • For some reason plastic ones wont catch as many as the metal

  • @hiltzter it has to do with the electrical fields of the metal. Me and my friends put a piece of zinc in our plastic traps to keep up with our metal traps. We found cut fish seem to be the best because the smell attracts minnows from all around.
