Thanks so much for this - I don't recall this track being released here in Australia. Thanks too to Cherry Red Records, for making the albums available once more. Love, Phil.
I don't see what the big deal is with this group or the lead singer. She's nothing to look at with her mousey looks and dolly-like voice. There were a ton of better singers and songs than this from the same period. This is very middle of the road. I am in the USA and she is unknown here. You haven't really made it until you can please an American audience. Until you do, you're just another cheesy, novelty Euro act.
I don't want to meddle but the line about making extra sounds to me like .. "making extra for you and the pub" maybe that's because the pub is my favourite place LOL.
@gjpercy . Hi Gray. New thought. "making extra for you and Pa-Pa" The first Pa is little / short - like when people say "ba-bye". Could it be "pa-Paa". (We may have been too quick to try and find a 'hard' rhyme with "up") !
@gjpercy You're right - we did briefly consider it. But I'd forgotten that - and when I was listening to this the other day (without considering the lyrics) - it's the way that I heard it (without even trying). And to me - it seems to make the most sense of all the ideas put forward thus far...
Thanks Brad, I think you've got something there. I'll go with that. (I always thought cream was better, but I just can't quite hear it, probably to do with age!). cheers
'Fox' used to put such fabulous tunes as their 'B Sides' for Singles and frustratingly (before CDs that is) would never appear on their Albums - re - 'If I Point At The Moon', and of course this one. Great stuff!
'The Very Best of Fox' occasionally appears on Amazon (list £48) ... it's the B sides we as an audience lose. Does anyone know if Noosha/Susan had anything to do with Yellow Dog, the eponymous album (haven't EVER seen it on CD) ...
Will they re-release the 'Wooden Horse' albums?
Fans and admirers remember 'Noosha/Susan' and the music she create ... Somebody should ask her, politely, to say ... 'Hi'
Hey Graybags...you been busy. Great to hear a couple of 'new' Noosha tracks - this and "Some Enchanted...". Well done. By the by...my guess on the missing lyrics:
"Making Extra for You and The Pup" (Could be Papa...but Pup rhymes with Up. Next: " and the (-) are friends in Peru." (not sure what the (-) is.
Finally: Make you the Queen / or / Cream of the Crops." What do you think?
Hi Don, I would go with pup as you say. Second one seems like a simple word, but it escapes me. I reckon third lyric is Queen. Cream makes better sense, but it sounds like Queen. Thanks, cheers
No, I just missed out on buying "odd Peculiar Strange" by "that much". (indicating small gap between thumb & forefinger). "Miss You" was written by Noosha (the B-Side to "Skin Tight"), also "Some Enchanted Evening" which I have posted. Actually a bit of a personal favourite.. cheers
Where have you posted "Some Enchanted Evening"? I can't see it on your page and I'd love to hear it! Anyway, thanks for all the Fox stuff you've put on here - it's particularly great to hear less well known stuff like this!
thanks for your comment, I think the three remastered CDs of Fox are generally available if you search Amazon or Ebay for "Fox blue hotel" or "Fox tails of illusion". Also, a good chunk of the original clip of "imagine me, imagine you" has already been posted by emobloom. Just search YouTube. cheers

@deepeemark thanks Don, this line is tricky. I thought we considered pa-paaa before? Not really sure what to do with this one. cheers

It's cool to find a rarity like this.
I think the missing lyric is: "...and amigos are friends in Peru...", and it sounds like "I can make you the cream of the crop".

@gjpercy. Yes! "Queen of the Cross"! (ie Kings Cross, London) Not cream of the crop!!!!

@deepeemark I think you might be right on this one. I'll do a little research and probably change that line. cheers..

Brilliant, thanks gips:) lovely pics too.
Now do you have 'Odd Peculiar Strange' ?
I hear it was written by Noosha so I would be interested to hear it. ps; do you know if she wrote any more songs?

Good work Graham. Particularly pleased that you found one the less well know tracks. You have prompted me to write a letter to you know who.

Thanks for posting this. I love Fox. I used to have the first two albums but they don't seem to be available nowadays. More's the pity. :(
Could you possibly post "Imagine Me, Imagine You"?
Cheers.
