@imataco95 Because LCD TV's and Plasma TV's use a lot of image enhancements compared to a normal LCD Monitor for PC. Maybe the ps3 does the same and use a lot of image enhancements too. Image enhancement techniques have both it's advantages and drawbacks. Also the image quality in videos on youtube isn't the best because of the high compression. Compare Crysis 2 screenshots on pc, ps3 and xbox360.

@imataco95 Most console ports are just ported not enhanced in any way on pc. Crysis 2 is a exception since it has it's own version developed for pc. Most console ports look like shit on pc because they don't use the potentials of the pc's hardware, they just look the same as on consoles and on such high resolution that pc supports textures look washed out.

this was too easy..i just beat it a few hours ago...the hard mode was just like the normal mode in crysis...even if you go out in the open it takes about 5 minutes fo you to die without fighting back....in crysis i just go out in the open for like 5sec i dieswithout even knowing what or who killed me...the thing i dont get is what happened to o'neil?? i dont get his story...was he like suppose to be a part of raptor team?? why didnt they let him in the team??

@daishi2442 Cool, HD 5870 is trully awesome, I run Crysis and Crysis Warhead on 1920x1080 and they run so much better then my HD 4870. If you want to see my HD 5870 run Crysis you can watch a video I uploaded showing the ending sequence in Crysis at 1920x1080 at Very High.

Crysis Warhead uses only around 50% of the capacity of my quad core cpu. If you wonder about the memory use on the end level like in this video Crysis Warhead uses 2.1GB ram.

Crysis is a great game, but god damn, does it take a lot of the computer! I got a brand new comp and i still need to keep it on "Gamer" settings in order to get a enjoyable experience, and even then, it has crashed a couple of times during the end boss in both games!

Just finished this last night, and found it way better than Crysis.

Just to clarify, in Warhead you play the part of Psycho, Nomad's fellow Brit solder seen in Crysis.

Whilst Nomad is battling the aliens in Crysis, Psycho is on the OTHER side of the island fighting the koreans for the possession of a crate containing top secret nuclear items. This is what Warhead covers and every level is pretty much enjoyable, with no silly Crysis floaty level.

Crysis 2 will run on Cryengine 3, which is a cross-platform engine, meaning it will run much smoother on the PC than the original.

Perhaps someone can explain to me why my shader detail is always set to custom even though I did the cfg edit to get access to very high settings in XP. Even when I try to set it to High (which is really a mimic of Very High, just not at DX10 quality), it reverts back to custom. Halp? :3

It always says custom when you edit the cfg to get the graphics the way you want, it's still at very high as you set it. I use a custom cfg too and it says custom and all settings in the game. It wont say very high when you edit the games cfg, just custom.

The Story of Crysis Warhead begins when you captured the habour with Nomad in the first part. It handles at the same time as the first Crysis handles. You play as Psycho. The Alien in the Box escapes trys to escape from the ship in first Crysis. So this is not the same ending like Crysis, but both storys are complementary.

the 6000+ is the best cpu i can get without changing my motherboard and the 4870 is the best card i can get because its the only one that fits in my case since its a small BTX case from HP and everything in my pc is from amd/asus and soon it will be amd/asus/ati TRIPLE A++!! :D

When you want to buy such a card it makes only sense if you change your Mobo and CPU (and RAM). When you want to have AMD, maybe the Phenom II 955 or so. Pls ask in the tomshardware-forum. There you can get many good answers :)

ATi RAdeon HD 4870 1GB is gddr5 (256bit). Well it's up to you, HD 4870 1GB and gtx260 216 are pretty equal in performance. The difference is the price, HD 4870 1GB is much cheaper then gtx260 216.

the next time i will upload a new ultra high setting to mycrysis THIS WILL BE A REAL ULTRA HIGH

not a ultra high which is tweaked as possible and you just can call it ultra high^^

it will be more like HP and jmanrobs config but not the same. It's still very fast but 5-10fps slower you wont need to use the very high xp cvar hack^^ this setting will be the nicest setting i ever made

Thanks! The custom configs(settings) should work fine in Windows 7, at least I think so. You can extract the music from Crysis Warhead with 7-Zip. Just go into the game directory in the Crysis Warhead directory. There you'll see a file called Warhead_music.pak Open it with 7-Zip and extract the content to were ever you want. The music files are in ogg format.

I don't think either that the difference between 4870 and 4890 will be that big. I read on a site called geeks3d that HD 4890 will have 800 shader processors, gddr5 @ 3900 Mhz and the gpu @ 850 Mhz.
