wow, I like the reaction of the blonde girlfriend. she seems cool. and the kiss at the end - soo lovely. I think, even if his friend was not gay, there is still a very strong relationship between both. best friends should be allowed to kiss each other some times in that way.

C'mon, he didn't mind his girlfriend cheating on him and he was clinging on her for dear life... he wasn't ready to come out and she was a nice beard for him. Who knows, he might even be, dare I say, Bisexual. Any straight guy would have stopped the touching, which is telling that he liked it and pretended to sleep. Maybe he needed to get his head around it, and at the end he realized how attached he felt to Kristian.

I'm convinced that this kiss in the end is more than just forgiveness. Kristian could have said "hey, it's allright, don't worry"... whatever. He would have made that in a verbal way. Perhaps in some cultures a kiss on the cheek has not that big meaning, but between two boys? In front of the girls? Mads had to encourage himself to kiss Kristian. Meanwhile he said something about Kristian's shoes - and without any anger.
I have mixed feelings about this film. It was sad & well done, but not every situation is a satisfying story. We don't know why Mads pretended to be asleep when Kristian touched him, nor what the kiss at the end means. Mads knows how Kristian feels about him, but does even Mads know how Mads feels? If there were no urge to deny homoerotic feelings, we could take Mads's interaction with his girlfriend at the end at face value. We may think straight Mads forgives gay Kristian or we may think hmm.

I like that mads didn' tell his girlfriend why he kissed kristian becase it didn't need to be said. it was better left unspoken. that way only kristian and mads knew what the little kiss meant. I am convinced it meant forgiveness though because after the kiss kristian had a happy look on his face like thanks mads for not hating me. it was an aww moment and kind of bittersweet at the ame time. it was a shame when they were all saying goodbye and kristian couldn't look mads in the face.

Though unable to compensate the same affection that Kristian has for him, Mads wanted to show Kristian that he forgives his friend and himself for both their wrongs, and wants to remain friends despite their differences. Mads cries b/c he'll miss his friend's presence while Kristian is at school.

See the emotion(pain and loneliness)of Mads when he hugged him, by kissing him and looking at Kristian while he was walking to the airport. And the smile on Kristian's face after that that kiss. So sweet. I love happy ending.
