i did not have the typical symptoms with rmsf. I had leftsided weakness, severe short term memory loss, muscle weakness, chills, severe fatigue, some nausea, dizziness, difficulty walking, difficulty with speech. I never found a tick. No headache, no rash, no fever?? alot of test, no findings, prayed and nurse practioner suggested tick panel even though no tick or no symptoms leading to suspicion...I have prayed for research to lead to implementing immunization, i am only 42 and limited :(
it wasent first identified in ROcky mountain.... on the other hand Rocky mountain was the only place in America this disease was not found...!
