it gives me some kind of error: AVI is no longer supported! Make sure QuickTime is installed and use "h264" - if you install QuickTime, you will need to reboot before using startmovie. PLEASE HELP!
I do everything, what I have to do to record the demo, but when I try to make it into .avi -file, it does the rendering, and when I look at the TF2 folders, there's no .avi file there :(
Even searching does not help. All I can see is just an unknown file, what is really tiny size (0 kb)
@Jaja300 it is activated in sony vegas 8 and 9 as standard. If you want to make it work properly, you have to have at least more than 60 fps in your video. The more Fps the video is rendered with the better will be the resampling result. As you can see, 120fps (like I used in my video) is enough.
@Fighter707 Weird. I'm using 10 and 120fps, however it just never comes out as smooth as this. The video preview always looks smooth and has blur, yet the video that I get when I render it is nothing like it.
i have an important question: i AM going to get sony vegas, i was just wondering whether i need a particular version, im struggling to realise which one i need to something like THIS, of anybody could tell me it would be much appreciated
@Dant3Dip that might be true but lagarith is a lossless codec. i use x264 because when the video is finished it will be converted into x264, mpeg4 or divx (xvid) anyway.
always when i do "startmovie blabla avi" it records it etc etc, and after its done i try to find the actual movie to look if it changed it to avi but theres no clip only alot of pics or something, help :S
But I have a question, how do you do exactly to make the video smoother. because your first video is a little bit lagging and your second is very smooth. Can you explain me? Thx :)
@afkimoka you have to record a video with 120 fps. sony vegas has a plugin called intelligent resampling (or frameblending) that will make your video look smoother. if you didn't turn it of it is acually used every time u render a video in vegas
sometimes it happens that the recorded video has a fps of 120 but it has a playback of 30 fps. so the sound and video aren't synchron. so you'll have to restretch the video later in sony vegas
yes: press alt+f2 to open the demo player. theres an input field where you can select the starttick. then you can record to tick 50000 and stop it.
i would use short ranges for jumping to ticks. if you directly jump to tick 44000 the game might crash. so jump from 10000 to 20000, from 20000 to 30000 and so on
that's no problem. i think the console gives every time a lot of errors and text but that doesn't matter. i cleared the console with the "clear" command.

ninjapostimies 10 months ago
@ninjapostimies if u don't record the whole demo, you have to type "endmove" at the end of your record or else there won't be a rendered video file
Fighter707 10 months ago
@Fighter707 I have typed "endmovie" in console.
Nothing happens.

How do you put your movie in full screen??? Will someone plz comment
TVFORMEATUTUBE 2 years ago
the youtube videos have a format of 16:9. if u upload 4:3 or 5:4 you'll get 2 black borders on the right and left site
record in a resolution of 1280x720 (standard 720p) and you won't get these borders and you will have your video in hd
