  • did she forget the words at the beginning??-how could she!!..hee hee .i absolutely love this song-belle stars at their very best, amazing production on the clapping song. i cant believe they sang live--what i mean is back in the 80s mining was what it was all about with them mouthing the words"hello mum"half way through.tanx so much4post.i go week with nostalgia whenever i see 80s performances like this.

  • This song is for my sister living with someone who is a nobody!! Sorry sis

  • the sound guy should have been shot!

  • i like lesbians

  • They look like lesbians

  • Nice doesn't help here.

  • Lesley is one of the nicest people!

  • i will actually state i think maybe the sound what the girls could hear was crap, as the backing vocals in the second verse are way too loud so i put it down too very poor techs on the tv doing the sound, if anything..

  • yes backing was normally recorded too and this was live lead and backing so you can hearthe backing vocals better than the record clear at least and sarah jane fluffling the opening line bless her,, in love with lesley on bass

  • Are these women dressing as men?

  • oh this was the nazz!

  • not really the same voice studio and live.....

  • Live vocals (and they are struggling to do that), the music is pre-recorded.

  • Jenny Bellestar! LOVE U!

  • Love the singer - fit as fuck

  • love this song, i think the singer fluffed the first line, still agood effort, im still in love with the blonde on guitar emmm em...

  • oh the memories. reminds me of an old girlfriend thanks for posting.

  • This is one of my favorite songs. Thank you for posting this.

  • Not a bad song, very cheesy, but this live version is awful - one of the worst live performances i've ever seen!

  • This is one of worst live performances I have ever heard since Tina Turner performed "What's Love Got To Do With It" on an awards show in 1984. They sound totally off-key, and I cannot even sing, now that's bad!

  • Memories! Takes me right back. Thanks.

  • love this 80's stuff! thanks for posting!

  • I love this song, ooooooops should have stayed in the closet!

  • some were, some weren't.

  • Great with the flaws, I always thought TOTP performances were lipsynched but this clearly isn't!

  • Only a few brave bands opted to play totally live and it was their choice to do so. However Musician's Union rules dictated at the time that at least one musician MUST play live on TOTP, usually bands selected the bass player to be in the firing line but obviously the Belle Stars decided to record the backing tracks and overlay live vocals....brave move.

The other backing tracks were usually re-recorded at the BBC sound studios the day before live TV transmission.

  • great great song thanks,

  • you can"t beat live music! thanks
