This game had real potential, but because it was rushed it turned out kind of bad in my opinion. If they made a remake by removing the glitches, redid some voice acting, and fixed some plot holes I think it would be really great!

this game was alright. it was nice bein able to play as other characters other then sonic and the main characters, but silver is a HORRIBLE character. the story was pretty good and the gameplay was pretty good but the movin around was i little slippery like in shadow the hedgehog, wich was annoyin (this was posted to see if ppl wuld agree)

@daarrii it would be wonterful to have a chao garden in it too! ^_^ on wii you can do sonic's custom actions with gestures rather than have to swap between gems to perform them! another improvement will be to point and aim Tails' dummy ring snipe and shadows missles instead wo having to move the whole camera!

Sega probably rushed this game so they could release it in the same year that Sonic turned 15 (since this game was made in celebration of Sonic's 15 anniversary) that and unfortunately so they could sell it by the holiday season. After all that's the time of the year when game's sell the most.

Well, imagine if, on your favorite TV show, your favorite actor got replaced with a cheap knockoff. In video games, voice actors are regarded with the same importance. And right now, people are upset that the current voice actors do no justice to the characters whatsoever.

sonic and the secret rings has got better gameplay than sonic the hedgehog in my opinion because once u get decent skills for sonic he can go really fast and it also better because u play sonic all the way through it instead of having to play several characters.

I own both Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic and the Secret Rings and yes Sonic and the Secret Rings does have better game play overall but it's not perfect and Sonic was originally planned to be on a solo adventure in Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic and the Secret Rings may have gotten better ratings and all but Sonic the Hedgehog delivers more of the Sonic feeling in my opinion. So I'll pick Sonic the Hedgehog over Sonic and the Secret Rings any day.

The gameplay in Sonic the hedgehog sticks to Sonic's roots. Sonic and the Secret Rings had a totally new type of gameplay, that's what I mean about Sonic the Hedgehog having more of the Sonic feeling. Both are good games but Sonic the Hedgehog may have been one of the greatest Sonic games of all time if it was finished, and it symbolizes Sonic's 15th birthday. Dispite the bad reviews this Sonic game will always have a special place in my favorite Sonic games list.
