I've been to Australia for 4 month and if I were you I would do it.

I've never paid more than 15-24 dollars per night and i never had bedbugs in my bed ;)

so it's not that expensive :)

there are some organisations which offer "travel and work", the costs are about 2000-3000 euro, you can google it ;-)
