  • @djwqoijdio Yes I know but I never choose to say for sure since I'm not Sherry...

  • im just wondering if harley is wearing splint boots

  • @salovesshady I'm pretty sure Sherry uses Classic Equine boots (I use them too). They not only have a splint guard inside of them but a fetlock supporter. Best boots there are IMHO...

  • My horse gets soo hyper when we do roll backs!

  • @MangoRoX87 As you will note below in my comment to Luvs2polebend that rollbacks will do that with high strung horses. The key is to work them down before you do them and to work them with 'quiet' hands. Some will always get jacked up so they don't work for them... this is a good exercise tho to get them working off their hind ends and teach them how to get in the ground and come out of a turn fast. Thanks for commenting! ;)

  • @silverchex Funny thing is she really isn't that high strung! She's twenty and but it really gets her working off her back end well. I think she's having flash backs of her old team sorting days lol!! But thanks for the info!:)

  • @MangoRoX87 LOL, working cows it the absolute best way to teach a horse to work off their hind end. It gives them a live object in which to focus on. I spent years team penning and working cattle. I had a big QH mare (16 hands) with thoroughbred bloodlines who was just as cowy as the little cutting horses. We were out team sorting once and my big barrel racing mare worked the cows as good if not better than the cutters ;) So I'm sure she's having flashbacks :D

  • thanks for posting this it helped me alot with practicing on my mare thanks!

  • @Luvs2polebend you're welcome! just remember though rollbacks can sometimes get them excited too...

  • @silverchex i will be sure too i tried them out on my horse it helped her alot but she did get a wee bit excited.. =]

  • @Luvs2polebend LOL, yes they are always best in moderation ;)

  • @silverchex yes def.!

  • I was doing rollbacks on my mare and I was so fun until she slipped. It was like last year.

  • love, love rollbacks...so much fun (on a horse that knows what to do) :)

  • Yes it does make it better when they know how, its alot of work when they don't, LOL
