Actuqally if you increased camber it would be more stable atleast by one degree. I just need to figure out how to make one, keep the wieght low. If wanting to carry another passenger riding in close tandem will do that. Drive will just be in the rear like on a biplane. Think you could send me the plans on how to build it.

Why do people waste their time designing these mono wheels. They are not practical without a stabilising arm. But then an arm would produce friction on the ground so you put a wheel on the end. Oh then you have a tricycle.

Because, if the driver of this vehicle was going at any practical velocity and braked suddenly, he would just spin over and keep on rolling until his weight was enough to overcome the inertia.

Similarly, if the driver tried to accelerate quickly he would spin in the opposite direction. Adding more weight doesn't affect this either.

Monowheels are a fun idea but a useless concept. There is a reason why all stable vehicles have at least two wheels in-line.

At this speed he could turn sharply but that's still not practical. If he turned sharply, a 90 degree spin would cause the bike to lift onto one wheel or tip. At any useful speed turning sharply would be catastrophic. A mono-wheel or two wheels not in-line is just not viable.

@ofontela Of course it can tip, especially if he brakes, the centre of gravity will rise as he does, and if he's turning as well then even more so.

But tipping is the least of this vehicles problems, although this vehicle doesn't have the sideways stability problems of a mono-wheel, it still has all the other stability problems that make mono-wheels a non-viable proposition. Sorry, but it's nothing more than a novelty.
