I love Bernard Cribbins, and I was so happy to see him in the Doctor Who series that just past. Nice little nod to this film I think, oh and he was also great in Casino Royale.
This was made by a British company in the 1960's to capitalize on the Dalekmania craze that started in the first season of Doctor Who. It's based on the episode "The Dalek Invasion of Earth," which featured the departure of the Doctor's granddaughter, Susan. It is not part of the show's continuity, though the BBC got to use the Daleks.
There was originally going to be a third movie based on the television story "The Chase" but unfortunately this one didn't do as well in the theaters in America as the first one had so the plan was scrapped.
i dont remember peter cushing being any of the 10 doctors. does this even mention hes a timelord and not a human, this must have been put together for us small minded americans because our tv execs think we are all stupid...ooo americas next top model is coming on now...na just joking hate those reality tv shows
Actually there was an American version of Dr. Who in 1966 called Time Tunnel which only ran for one season...it was a total flop and rip off Dr. Who.
At the same time BBC was trying to sell American TV execs on the idea of Dr. Who, unfortunately because it was filmed in Black and White they did not want it...Even though most people in 1966 still had black and white televisions.

Continuity isn't good. They go looking for the crowbar, then they've got the crowbar when they find the roboman, but as soon as they run out, they don't have the crowbar again.
ok this is a small spin off movie maid by a guy named teri nation some time in the past I forget the posifics a show for like five sesons called doctor who still in black and white and these facts might be wrong but mostly time they needed a new villan and he invinted the daleks they are the mortal enamies of the doctors race if you want to learn more message me though I might not replie at first
Terry Nation did not create the Daleks out of need for new villains. The show had been going on for two years; the second 'episode' ever broadcasted on the show featured the Daleks; they were its first aliens.
Ok..... umm... how would this Dr. Who guy know there was even a problem in the future..? Maybe the movie will answer the question... but really I don't think that part makes much sense...
hes a time traveler he could have been there before plus even the series thats on now (yes the tv show is still on) states he is over 900 years old and still has many many years left
