Paul Robinson

What people don't realise about Robinson's saves is his ability to control where the ball ends up after a save is second to none. Some of his dives may look over-dramatic but this more often than not will allow Robinson to guide the ball out of harms way. Separates him from a lot of keepers in the PL who are just good at reaction saves and will often fumble long shots, mis-judge corners etc. He's doing a great job at Rovers and I can only thank him for that, shame that people often overlook him.

I feel a little sad for Robinson. He's actually such a wonderful keeper but he's so underrated. He's actually got really good reflexes, but I think the team he's on right now might be holding him back a little.

@manchesterunited447 He should have been England no.1 no matter what. He's the best English keeper of his generation. In his prime he was one of the best keepers in the world and he regularly shows glimpses of that when he gets a few decent games under his belt.

Robinson's going on loan to Bolton.

It's a big loan acquisition by Bolton and could help save them from being relegated next season.

As of now, my pick of Premiership teams to go down are Burnley, Portsmouth, and either Hull, Wolves, Blackburn, or Bolton.

Bolton's signing of Robinson may keep them out of the relegation watch zone.

if he wasnt fat and more agile he would be quality. he makes some good saves but if you watch closely his footwork is horrible. no sidesteps and he is just diving from his feet first time. of course these players wack the ball like hell but then again his positioning and decision making and his agility have cost him his spurs shirt. i liked robbo, he helped tottenham a lot but lets face it gomes is twice his size and 5 times as agile and gomes reactions are incredible. he just needed some time.

Alonso's shot was'nt deflected, he was just too slow to react, as usual, some of his dives are embarassing. have a look at eidur gudjohnsons overhead against leeds and watch his dive.

Brilliant keeper, his two 'blunders' for England first the croatia one, nothing he could do about that he couldnt forsee the ball bouncing so shouldnt get any blame for it, and then the one against germany where he correctly anticipated a cross, the ball swerved he did his best and tried to push it over but got unlucky and it hit bar. Not much he could do, i hope he gets back to what we know and love of robbo! This video highlights what a class keeper he actually is!!
