Even though he's an alien it doesn't mean his appearance isn't meant to be Asian. Superman is an alien but pretty much everyone can see that he's meant to resemble a Caucasian human.

You don't seem to understand. This movie completely ignored the story of the manga. It only took place during the king piccolo arc and that's not that complicated to follow, and they still couldn't do that.
