  • Guess it was Miller Time, lol

  • On December 15, 1944, Shaw was aboard a Lancaster bomber returning from an aborted raid on Germany. Approaching the south coast of England, the bombardier jettisoned his payload including a 4,000-pound bomb called a "cookie," which exploded several feet above the surface of the sea. As Shaw looked out to see the explosion, he spotted a Norseman flying below"Shock waves from the explosion, Shockwaves probably knocked the small aircraft out of the sky.

  • Juaz!!!

  • Yet again - this was war time. Why would they risk other people's lives to recover a wreck?

  • @rampike74 right-and it was millers .so no mystery-DAFT. Chilern hills. I ask ya.

  • the book you want to read is called (i kept my secret) clarence b wolfe very interesting to say the least if what he says is true glenn died in september not december worth reading

  • Millers flight plan took him over the Channel close to an area used by the USAF bombers to dump unused bombs on their return....with bad weather possibly blowing the plane of course it is likely that it was hit, at low level, by such munitions...and probably witnessed and reported...hence no search and a delayed and ineffectual investigation...the USAF would not wanted to be held responsible!!

  • Nimoy keeps saying "Children" Hills when it's "Chiltern" Hills

  • Thank you!
