From the sound, the fuel pump is perfect. Run injector cleaner sometimes to reduce black smoke.

Toughest engine ever built...period. We put 100,000-150,000 off-road miles on one that had 300,000 miles on it when we bought it. That truck would go anywhere and take a beating doing it.
