It was accelerated too much and it gives it a chipmunk effect. You can avoid this by using better software and it'll scale the voices so they sound normal.

Also I totally agree, I always thought this song should have been a bit more high tempo, a bit like in the official video. And this just confirms it. im not saying the original was bad though, thats still an awesome song in its own right.

@nufcdazzla "rockstar games" Video game proucers shorten some oldies or remix them usually for copyright issues, they can't use th whole song so they used the loophole to speed it up and remix it a bit. gotta keep the greats of the 80's but didn't wan to lose all their profit margine.

Wow, I must have missed something. As far as the "tempo" goes, it seems to be the exact same as the original.... so, what exactly are you referring to being changed? The background instruments sound a little different - like it's missing something, but that's the only difference I can tell.

if you want to be a shallow dance song, sure this is the tempo. this song was unstoppable, at it's original tempo. it had soul, despite the heavy 80's production.

Sorry dude I've been listening to this song for something like 25 years now, I am familiar with the "original" sound, but this version pushes it into a sleeker and more hysteric dimension. Defintely better.

And it' hasnt turned it into a crappy dance song, with crazy frog antics, or cheapish 90s beatbox loops. It stays very much a song of the 80s, only way sleeker.
