Im really sorry about what happened to your partner. I cant imagine going through something like that. As a straight man myself, i find your struggle, of course, entirley righteous and just. The forces of ignorance can be difficult to fight, but its a fight that has to be fought.

Thanks to people like you, a day when all sexualitys are accepted in your nation will come. Have strength.

My heart goes out to you Richard. 8 years ago I also had my long term partner die and I felt the sting of having my relationship discounted and ignored by his family. Change happens slowly but it is inevitable.

Wow...a very powerful message, and couldn't agree more with the statement. As long as my own country continues to treat me as less than a human being, like you said, I will continue to be forced to live out my life as an exile. My partner is Thai, and since our relationship isn't legally recognized I must pick love or home. Thank you so much for sharing this, as it really made me think.
