I agree she has a beautiful voice, but she is just well off the melody of this song, so much for me that it makes it a hard listen. The other part of the problem is that some songs just dont need to be remade, and this is one of them.

No gingerbear, don't feel stupid! -you're sweet. Very few people knew about Eva during her short life (she died in 1996). I'd never heard of her either until I stumbled across her transcendant version of "Autumn Leaves" on a compilation disc about a year ago, and it was immediately apparent she was something special-- why hadn't I heard about this woman before?? And then I found out she was already gone, so it was too late. At least people are finding out about her now.
