I use a similar strategy on Cobra. take out his sheild first, then the gun, then I shoot his chest when he opens it, the other times I shoot his mid section above his tail to try and avoid that spider butterfly thing he turns into.
well in the way i seem to be playing, he always takes your charge shots every chance he gets, and then makes you his bitch. So, it's sort of mandatory.
I like to fight with virvius 1 in real mode I can kill it in 1 shot but he will do positron and can 1 hit you if you fail ^^

As far as I know, in real mode enemies are quicker, bombs do even less damage, and you dont get powerups from dead enemies except bombs.

btw god i hate his "real" main body. only time i ever saw it though, he was ready to die anyway.

Yeah, it moves too damn fast, hard to get a shot in. and I play on easy mode :x I tried playing on the low mode, but I couldn't get past Griffen
