I don't know how our neighbour trained their bunny, but she has stayed in our gardens for several years. It is an unusual environment: a quiet cul-de-sac with no through traffic, no loose dogs, and no other predators like foxes here. Normally, a free-roaming or abandoned bunny would be terrified and obviously wouldn't survive long as there would be too many dangers...
That is so cool! I want to live in a place like that! Last year my cat got hit by a car. But he's okay now. But now he's not aloud outside by himself.

I forgot to mention that our neighbour's garden has a nice big hutch for Peanut to hop into when she wants, especially useful in Icelandic winters...

I think Peanut is about 3 years old and bunnies can live until 7-12 years old.
