  • Wow that is just beautiful musical expression. Thanks for posting. I am so proud of my musical heritage.

  • In the human race there is no "our people".

  • @sunglass2 Yes we are all a part of the "human race' however because the many contributions of "our people' African Americans, has been deliberately left out of history, it's important for us to ackdnowledge it. Maybe you should spend some time researching "our history' and perhaps it may open your eyes. We were and are inovators and still inventing things for the entire human race.

  • Long time Pilgrim Jubilee Singer, Major Roberson passed away March 1st.

  • this is one of my favorites from the jubes.

  • Absolutely fantastic! Thanks for posting.

  • This Bass Player came to the School(Boston Tech auditorium)with only 3 strings on the Bass.I guess he didn't have a spare. He was very rythmic in his style. He would deaden the other strings and strike them all when he hit his intended change.I imagine it caused a lot of broke strings! But it was smart for it gave you a drum effect. Our people have always been great innovators in making more with what you have!

  • We are survivors with God-given talents

  • Amen! I started out tuning my guitars strings lower for bass. My first bass was a Danelectro, then a Zim-gar, then an Italian bass with blue glitter body and finally a FenderJazz bass in 1968. Everything that happened that was good God did it!

  • utterly, utterly brilliant! Can't get better than that really.

  • Love that Cleve and Clay:-)

  • Yes, sir! It will be wonderful.
