since the f-117 is only a one seater one or two IPs would fly in the 38 along side the student in the f-117 to talk with them as they trained. my parents use to work at holloman when they had the f-117s (i think they're starting to phase them out) and my dad said thats what they did for training.

Sweet bird the Talon. The only time I saw any was at Stewart AFB, NY in 1967. Grissom, Chaffee and White had been killed in a fire during a test of the Apollo CM and they buried White at USMA. A dozen astronauts flew T-38's in for the funeral. When they left, they took off two abreast and man those puppies could climb.
