For the record I'm not against racist jokes per se, I'm against racist jokes that subtly mix up stereotypes and identities, which has nothing to do with the joke.. Mixing Iraqis and India in with Al Qaeda doesn't make sense, it's like telling a joke about how black people are bad drivers and really good at math. It's not even the correct stereotype. And people believe it anyway, it's not the joke that is the issue (although yeah Letterman is generally not very funny)
