  • reminds me so much of hannah hodson! but great vid!

  • you have very pretty hair, im thinking of going natural myself. tell me how you started cause im still a little undecided and i don't want to chop my hair just yet. it's been 4 months since i stopped relaxing my hair, i can already see the roots. can u please tell me where did u get these products.

  • @zmoreno71 check out her hair journey vid

  • do you still use the huetiful steamer?

  • Wow, you take great care of your hair, it def works & shows! Your hair looks so soft! Appreciate the vids. Thanks

  • hi Nikki was just wondering now that you have major length to your hair does it take a way longer time to detangle and do you wash every week or every two weeks i am luvvvvving your hair it has grown beautifully and you have really mastered the techniques of taking care of natural hair you have been such an inspiration thank you....

  • where do you get the curly hair intensive mask from? , does it work well ?

  • I was wondering do you trip your ends? If so how do you do it? Im used to trimming my ends with strait hair and iv'e had it curly for a while now and haven't trimmed in almost a year!! I don't know how and my ends need to be trimmed :(

  • is rinsing with cool water better than warm to how water? and how?

  • @stephjohnson19 i don't know if this was Mae's reason, but rinsing with cool water closes the cuticle of the hair, causing less breakage, retaining moisture, and makes detangling easier. Using warm or very warm water keep the cuticle lifted and makes hair more susceptible to breakage.

  • Hey :) is the nunaat curly hair mask a protein or moisturizing deep conditioner? thanks!

  • I absolutely love the clarity and quality of your videos! perfect for the only black natural chick in Azerbaijan! thank you so much xxx

  • we have the same kind of hair!!! im going to be 10 months natrual feb 10th im so excited!

  • Hello, I wanted to know have you ever used black soap, if so, what are your thoughts on it?

    thanks :-)

  • May I ask why you didn't use you Huetiful Steamer in this Video? After viewing that video first, I was looking for your follow-up review and I think you had it prior to this video. Are you still loving your results from your HS? Thanks....

  • LOVE THIS

  • Ive Finallly Found Someone With Hair Just Like Mine! :D x

  • Thanks for the video Mae...:) I just have one question..How often do you use the Intensive Mask Deep Conditioner? Do you use it every week after you shampoo your hair?

  • Thanks for the video Mae...:) I just have one question..How often do you use the Intensive Mask Deep Conditioner? Do you use it every week after you shampoo your hair?

  • What is your hair type? It is so pretty!

  • Oooou that cap is cool!!

  • Hello -- you are one of the few people i've found with a seemingly similar hair pattern as mine. Do you always blow out your hair or do you have other styles you use as well? Thanks in advance!

  • Do you ever use kinky curly? Is it any good?

  • hi

how long have you been natural

  • I thought we had the same curl type but it looks like yours has loosened. Do you think your curl pattern has changed with length?

  • @jlampley86 its bc she uses a steamer now which makes your hair look alot softer and looser

  • where did you get your detangling comb from?

  • OMG I USE CURLS PRODUCTS.. it worked great for me i am 3c/4a

  • Omg i've found someone with (seemingly) the same hair texture as me! Yay!

  • Hi I just did my big chop 9-29-2010 to 7-2009 was when I started my transition my hair is alot like your I needed help with product that work well for are hair type?

  • ur videos are so cute.

  • How often do you trim your hair if at all? I've been natural about 3 months and my hair is just a few inches shorter than yours. I've never trimmed and I'm not exactly sure how to tell if I need one.

  • Awesome video Mae.

Your hair is growing so beautifully!

    KinkyCurlyCoilyMe (dot) com

  • I use Curls shampoo and conditioner also. What is your hair type, and how do i find out what hair type i am?

  • Just curious...do you prefer the wrap to the hair steamer?

Oh, and you look great as always.

  • Beautiful hair!

  • where did you purchase the wrap for your hair while the conditioner is in?

  • i love how fluffy your hair looks its so cute

  • cool!

  • I really love how you edit your videos. I have been trying new things with mine. Would you mind givng me some tips and what software you use.

    nyscurls08

  • how often to you use the steamer

  • are you using that huetifl hair steamer still?

  • cool! i can see your color! cute! go mae go mae! lol

  • i just love your afro

  • Oh Mae your hair look good! i Love this video because it shows how to care for thick natural hair, i my self have very thick natural hair and my conditioners does wonders. And i have to say that i use a regular comb now cause the conditioners has soften my hair, thus leaving me with less tangles during my next washes. But i DONT recommend that to every one!

  • so do you still use the huetiful steamer??

  • heyy

i was just wondering that after you use miss jessies products, do the curls products work in getting your hair clean?

  • I know this may be silly, but you go through this regimen ONCE per week?

  • @rinathomas09 Yes, on the weekend

  • I love, love, love your hair!!! I've been locked for overs 4 years now and I'm contemplating whether I should go back to loosed hair. Way back when I did my big chop I liked my little fro, but after having relaxed hair since I was 5, I didn't know the first thing about taking care of natural hair, so I gravitated towards locks. If i knew then what I know now about natural hair, I probably would have stayed with the fro. Ughh! I don't know what to do since I love my locks too :-( Great vid btw!

  • @fashiondiva119 - I combed my ten year old locs out a few months ago. If I'd known then what I know now I might never have had locs, but I don't regret the locs at all. They had their time and they were simple easy and fun. Whatever you do, just remember it's just hair! :)

  • Do you recommend that the hair get shaped up in it's natural state or should it be blowed out and then cut on an angle and balance? When you got your hair shaped up did they do it with scissors or barber clippers?

  • Love your hair Mae!!! It's sooo thick! SoooPretty! Take Care!!

  • Your eyebrows are gorgeous!

  • I just wanted to say how much I love your videos and what a hair inspiration you are for me.

  • love your hair gal! too cute!

  • love the vid Nikki!

  • Why idn't you use your Huetiful steamer?

    Looks good :)

  • what do you do about knots?

  • great video! my routine is pretty much the same minus the heat wrap. do you find it makes a significant difference in the way your hair feels after? Have you tried using a steamer for deep conditioning? And also, where did you get that "Naat" deep treatment from, I'm assuming since you're using it, you like it lol... ok I think that's enough questions for now haha

  • Simply Beautiful Mae!!

  • wats hair therapy wrap.... is it just a cap that heats up?

  • @shericelinton The cap comes with gel packs that can be heated in the microwave. After heating the packs, they are then inserted into the cap. There's a website with more info. Hope this helps. Take Care!

  • @shericelinton There is also a review of the product on my channel if you'd like more info... Just search for huetiful hair steamer review : )

  • beautiful! It has really grown!

  • lovely, didn't want it to end

  • after u rinsed out the deep conditioner ..you didnt add leave in and if so do you still use giovanni direct leave-in?

  • @debosbambam No, I didn't add a leave-in

  • Your hair is so pretty! I love how full it is...

  • great video nikki

  • great video

  • You're using the same shampoo and conditioner I use, they're great!!! :->

  • one dislike? typical.

  • @curlydork I know, right...sometimes i believe its pure jealousy.

  • i wish my hair was as manageable as yours but sadly it's but thicker :-)

    -Bruce

  • you are too cute! love your texture.

  • Great video. Is Curls your favorite product line?

  • @PearlfectJourney One of my favorites...

  • @Nikkimae2003 I love the Curls shampoos and conditioners. Have you tried the Whipped Cream as a styler? It gives me the best twist outs!!!

  • Great vid.... We have similar texture hair, need to say then I just luv ur hair :). For me I deep condition then detangle, then twist, then wash in twist, and finally condition gain. Good to see the other way works as well.

  • WOW, I wish my hair detangled that easy!

  • @DariceHumphries me too :)

  • That was fun to watch...thanks

  • Do you get your brows threaded? they look so CRISPY!!...

  • @Amber2u haha thanks! I do get them threaded.

  • Your hair looks sooo healthy and I love that the ends look so clean and blunt. Have you trimmed since doing the BC? Or.. maybe you have just kept them in such good condition that you haven't had a need. Do you have to detangle again.. after washing out conditioner? Have you ever kept them in twists while the conditioner is in and rinse with the twists in? My hair is shorter than yours but I've found that method keeps me from detangling a second time. Might be worth a try. :)

  • You are my ultimate hair inspiration:) Please keep it up

  • Great Hair!! It looks so soft.

  • your hair is incredible,I love watching your video's!

  • Have you ever had issues where you would detangle a whole section reeeaaallly well, and still have tangles?

  • I also have hair balls of shed every weekly wash day. It's a pain to see. Soon I will be trying the black tea on my hair and seeing how that works; I've heard good things about it reducing/stopping shedding. :-)

  • Here i was thinking you used "soul glo" lol...anyway, great music...

  • I'm feeling the music! Lovely hair btw!

  • I know someone asked this already...but does your hair shed at all?!! I didn't see one hair strand come out and I were combing my hair the way you were...I would've had a ball of hair out by the end of the process : (

  • @greenclover39 - im wondering the same thing!

  • I HAVE TO TRY THAT HAIR MASK

  • Nice! Love Your Hair!

  • do u deal w/ hair shedding at all?

  • lovely, Mae!

  • @160Days2Lose2 Thank ya ma'am!

  • How come you didn't use the steamer?

  • @hotchocolate1 That's not something I use every week. Perhaps every 2-3 weeks.

  • What's your hair type? To me it looks like 3c..but what do you think it is?

  • Have you ever had your hair shaped at all? It looks so even all around.

  • @akinneyeo1 I did once around 4 or 5 months of being natural. I had them shape up my fro in it's natural state.

  • @Nikkimae2003 did you go to a barber shop or a natural hair salon to get it shaped up, and about how much did it cost?

  • @Nikkimae2003 I was wondering the same thing. So you haven't had it shaped since then? Does it just grow out evenly? It looks really nice.

  • @Nikkimae2003 Oh, so did you just comb it out and tell them to shape it? How about the edges, did they shape those as well? Thanks.

  • @Nikkimae2003 really maybe i should have them do that because my hair is growing but not as evenly i would hope it would...

  • gret vid mae!

  • great vid! Thank u.. I was SO wishing u would go ahead and "style for the week" on the vid.. LOLOL

  • @skeeta25 lol...don't worry, that's the next vid!

  • sweet, im loving this and your hair has definitely grown and it looks SO HEALTHY. GREAT JOB
