try caraudio@com and caraudioclassifieds@ccom and look for a good used amp. the only lanzar amps that are good are the opti series.

@isaiahpowell97 i wouldnt get a pyramid. those amps will not do rated or even close to push these subs. try to get an hfi1000d. they're 149 but they will do 800rms all day long. im getting a brz2400 here soon for myself ;)

@MrAcuralvr I would have to respectfully disagree on the smashing of CVR's. I just upgraded from 2 12" HF12D4s which are the model before yours and rated for 50 more watts rms. I had them around 325 each rms in a 4.2 ft3 ported to 25 hz. I upgraded to two 12" CVR's on an Alpine M100 1000 watt amp and is signifigantly louder. To top it off the CVR's are in the factory Kicker enclosure to save me some room. If I put them in optimum size enclosure they would break car parts.

@MrAcuralvr I'm not saying they aren't awesome subs. I loved mine and they impressed the shit out of me. What amp are you running now? You are still running just two HFi12D4's right? I put mine in my brothers Suburban and to my suprise they sound like shit. It's not the subs though it's the box. I would only compare my CVR's to your HFi12D4s if I built my own enclosure for them. As I stated before it's a factory kicker enclosure which is actually very small for what they call for.

@MrAcuralvr Believe me when I say I'm not trying to be a dick here but your new amp putting out 800+ watts? I would have to see that in person. It's a $90 A/B amp that isn't CEA-2006 compliant. So like most cheaper non-compliant amps it might hit its supposed rating after it was struck by lightning. I had a Crunch Pzi2200 by maxxsonics that supposedly put out 500x2 rms at 2 ohms...yeah no...it was more in the realm of about 250 or less.

@yzf7steve not only that but look at this......hifonics has been around forever....they do rated wether they are cea compliant or not..cea doesnt mean shit on an amp rating what so ever...it just means it was tested under the perfect conditions IE no volt drop...box rise etc, hifonics non cea rated amps are better than most other brands cea amps...its all in quality, if you are near me id love to give you a demo...ive already give 2 demo's to non believers like you and it changed there thoughts.

I loved my set up I had before with my HF12D4's but there is just no replacement for quality gear. Like I said I had my HF's in a 4.2 ft3 box tuned to 25 hz and it was no where near the SPL I'm getting with my Pre-loaded CVR's on my alpine 1000. If I didn't want the room I would build a custom enclosure for them but actually like some trunk.
