Regine was being humble in saying na nilalampaso sya ni Eva noon. Eva had the edge back then over Regine. Sabi nga ng ka bandmate ni Regine, Eva had better stage presence and confidence on stage than Regine. Also consider this, contest pieces back then were more for mid range singing like the songs they're singing here. That's Eva's strength. Regine's power is in her high notes. Wala pang And I Am Telling You or U'll Never Walk or What Kind of Fool na Regine arrangement noon.

don't take it literally. for example, mariah still has it but she lost the quality. same as with regine, this is the first time i heard her used her head that way after so many years. coz for so many years she had been relying on her upper chest register, it made me forget how great her head was. she just made me remember it on this song.

head voice doesn't necessary means artificial voice. what i was talking about was FULL HEAD VOICE, her belting technique were the placement bounces from the head but the sound is natural, rich and FULL.
