This is not a breeding box just a box we made with wire at the front so that the baby was safe from attack but enabled the parents to reach in and feed it.
Yes they are wild but this baby fell out of his nest. Without the bars other wild adult lorikeets were attacking him (we don't know why. Maybe they wanted the nest?)so we had to make bars that the parents could still feed him through. When he grew bigger we did take him to a carer so he could be released with other young lorikeets.
