  • VERY Cool ...ENJOY IT!

  • MOUSE VAN!!

  • Thumbs Up!

  • omg! I hate u!!! hahaha I love this van. Your so lucky. Thanks for posting the video :)

  • great video nice ride

  • before you make the engine any older put the filters back on!!!!!! Eddy!!!

  • nice!

  • she's a classic

  • Only in the 60s would people design a van using a sports car chassis.

    Cool stuff!

  • nice van, yes there were several manufactures of "camper kits" but the dealership did not offer it. I like the paneling inside looks awesome. I am getting a '61 greenbriar window van wednsday, I can't wait to start digging in it.

  • just out of curiosity how old are you?

  • @herbienbrian 13 going on 14

  • damn, thats right about when I started wrenching on stuff. good on ya

  • I have a corvan, a ramp side with a custom cab over camper., a corvair powered sand rail, and a corvair powered trike. I also have enough parts to build another trike. 140 turbo, yeah.

  • That's awesome!! Ive always wanted a ramp side, and with a camper that would be even cooler.

  • Awesome! I'd love to see you drive it.

  • I love the two-tone colour. Very nice. What do you plan to do with the Van?

  • Now I have the van on the road and running good. Im going to have it as my high school van and through college and what not. Then from there i might still have it.

  • I was impressed that you knew it was a van engine. (Dipstick tube)Most vans have had a car engine put in them at some time. You kind remind me of myself, when I was young (1980's)I had Corvairs all over the place, people thought I was nuts. Dont let anybody tell you that Corvairs arent cool! They still have a soft spot for me. Good luck with it, it could be really sharp with just a little tlc, acutally sounds pretty good. I cant remember if a 61 Van was a 102 or a 110(maybe a 98?) Take care KC!

  • Thanks!!!

I think this van just has the stock 84 HP. I want to get a 140 for her =P

    Take care 2

    Cassidy

  • I totally forgot about the 80 and the 84 hp engines! (thats what happens when you get old) I had a '60 4 door with the 80hp and powerglide (got from a junkyard circa 1984) and the gas heater. I took the engine out and crushed body (body was 80% rust) not knowing how valuble the gas heater was! O well live and learn. Please post some more Videos of it when you get time. My best one was a 66 Corsa Convertible with 140. Those extra carbs were a pain to synchro ! Later KC Long live Corvairs!!

  • O well, at least you saved the engine. I have seen some gas heaters going for $200 on Ebay. This weekend I will try to get out and make a video. I also think i might have one on my dads computer?

    Peace Cassidy

  • I will be looking foward to seeing it. Take care KC

  • Nice classic ride! looks like a fun and worthwhile project!

  • nice corvair van

  • cool van!!/ vid

  • its a custom job as most corvair conversions were! factory campers were based on just the greenbrier i believe!

nice van! i imagine you've seen mine on utube it too is pretty rust free! but does have the rustout were the lower side door hing is! i am gonna go bumperless on my van! because it looks cool without them! also i am gonna make all the door hinges be inside the body instead of stick out for the smooth look! i may chop the top but is not sure yet! defiantly i am gonna put air ride in it!

  • nice van! maybe you could put a foam something over the mic to take care of the wind noise?

My niece used to have a 65 I think...rusty floor but an Illinois car so expected...

  • Is there a manual choke knob in it??

  • It does have a choke under the dash, but when the engine was rebuilt they put in a automatic choke.
