to make this the easy way just put everything in a pot at the same time cook over high heat stirring the whole time till it thickens about 5 mins later !
Can you keep this style of melted cheese in bain maire? does this cheese seperate if kept warm/hot for a long time? i want to serve warm liquid cheese on fries in my store. Can anyone help.

It looks rather pale for a cheddar sauce... maybe it's just the camera. But looks aside, the resulting cheese sauce is awesome. No room in my house for any of that powdered cheese crap! :D
