Second variation is the only one I did not learn from a Zimbabwean but is my own mbira adaption of a marimba arrangement of the Mbira song. Typically you will never here this song played like the second variation by a Shona player. As I play mainly by myself being stuck in the southern US I play that more often as it is more full and by default play it better. The other two were learned from either Cosmas Magaya or Chris Mhlanga but I play them less often so less convincingly.
cool man. 2nd variation looked good... but the 1st one... umm... the fourth phrase should start on the far left bass note rather than the same main middle one... just a thought... thanks for posting tho
