  • This gives me chills listening to it!

  • precision like a surgical blade....

  • Johnny Is King!

  • theres no way you'd enjoy my channel at all. you dont like epic tunes (like hendrix or zeppelin).. its impossible for anyone to like this style of music...will your curiousity lead you? check it outtttt <3.

  • @AbsoluteZeroMusic Huh? What are you trying to say? Johnny and Jimi were very good friends and influenced each other greatly and there's mutual respect between Johnny, Jimi & Jimmy... Did you mean to say, "it's impossible for anyone to dislike this style of music?" If so, I only wish you were right. Yet some folks do dislike Rock 'n' Roll, Blues and Rhythm & Blues music. (Sorry Fargin Bastadges!)

Luv, BluzCat ~~>--w~^~_~^~w--> (Catchin' a ride to Bluzville on 1 of Terrible Ted's stray arrows)

you are nice and johnnywinter is nice!!

  • It doesn't get any better then this......

  • and thanks for pointing out that big thick meaty slab'o'ribs w/BBQ sauce-bottom/bassline that Tommy's laying down for Johnny to toss his spicy-coleslaw-clippings of blues riffs on. Yummy & filling!

  • great great version...and I enjoyed it more than the youtube live in 1970 version with this same lineup as this is more succinct & carefully tailored/crafted with restraint that can go out the window when he starts blazing away at high speed. And one of the beauties of the blues is that it is all about the contrast & variety & buildup & release & careful placement...so more isnt more (and less may not be more always) and it about mixing up less more & the unexpected approaches to the expected

  • Best blues solo ever!!!!!

  • I tell you, the backing musicians show exactly how to keep it simple and allow the front man to do his thing. What a pleasure it would be to play with Johnny Winter.

  • Tommy Shannon is an outstanding bassist mostly known for having accompanied SRV as well as for having been one of his best friends.

  • Great great playing all round tops

  • It is interesting that the album version is in the key of C, whereas most of the live versions (all) are in the key of Bb, giving credence that, perhaps, the studio version was "sped up a bit"?

  • awesome the best in texas lol

  • JOHNNY FUCKING WINTER!

  • the Best

  • Among one of the five best ever recorded by anyone post-WWII.

  • truely one of the best blues numbers..Tops

  • I think so !

  • @Ruhkukah5150 igreed brothe!

  • Tommy Shannon is the bass guitar player. Bass guitar = "back bone".

  • Oh goddAmn yes , Johnny Winter at his finest , and check out Tommy Shannon , laying down that ol back bone!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you for visiting(^^)

By the way , Tommy Shannon ?

    I'll examine that person.

  • @Ruhkukah5150 Tommy started out w/ Johnny and was Stevie Ray Vaughans' bass player till Stevie left us. Storyville is another band Tommy played in, and still does occasionally.

    He lives in Austin Texas.

  • @Balloonatic1 I dont think anyone plays bass like Tommy my fav , mabey Im a lil partial , but still what power , what skill ! What bottom

  • @Ruhkukah5150 Tommy Shannon was the bassist for Stevie Ray Vaughan!
