last time, im not the gold guru but I can freakn gauranty you by what i saw in your pan if you dig that hole down your gonna be happy, what we have done is exactly what your doing only we are three weeks ahead of you at the time of this vid, our hole is like 10 times that size, just with shovels and comealongs, and were just into the heavies now and still not at bed rock, we seriously wont go back to the river, our claims been mined for 150 years, and we know nobodys dug where we are.
seriously, dont stop till bedrock, you know if there is fine gold up high, there is "for sure" heavier pieces lower, we are 150 ft from the river and now getting larger gold then any day on the river, we saccrificed 4 days to hand shoveling, and so happy we stuck with it through the over burden:) no more hip wadders, cobble ankles or high water to deal with, cheers mates
nice hole, that is exactly what we are doing , we were getting flour gold too out of our first 3 yards of material or so, but now we have dug it down 7- 8 ft and its getting more and more coarse, keep going it only gets better as you go deeper, the first 3 days we got maybe (.1) of a gram of flour ,now in 3 hours we got .7 of a gram of large pieces, the next trip out we are hoping for a couple grams. im interested to see what you come up with, thanks for the vid
Nope didn't make them do it, was their idea to begin with, I just provided the spot and equipment, as well as most of the swinging of the pick and running the ukranigan backhoe, was checking the tailings from time to time, set up with a 1/8 inch spaced grizzly, and reduced water flow, so that you still have a sorting action but not blowin it out, check out Canadain Prospector, field trip sharing, The Secret Spot for fine gold recovery

great video. thanks for sharing. sure, ya "didn't make them do this" but possibly you offered a beer or two for their efforts - yes? curious, would you recommend having a holding pan at the exit end of your sluice, since you're into only fines?
