He didn't "have a couple of good games", he had a fantastic two and a half ROUNDS. Obviously I don't like seeing him lit up but it happens. You know for all the geniuses out there who want to also point out that Vancouver "barely" beat the 8th seed, don't forget there was literally 5 points separating 4th from 10th, as in two wins and an overtime loss in an 82 game regular season. This isn't the East where there is usually a glaring disparity between 1st and 8th seeds, Chicago itself was one win from finishing much higher in the standings.

You can't just make the excuse that you're rebuilding when you get bounced in the first round. Half the damn team is still made up of Olympic roster players. Edmonton and Ottawa and Flordia would kill to have that sort of rebuild. Obviously you're worse than you were the last few years without Ladd and Byfuglien, but losing a couple of depth players doesn't equate to rebuilding
