Does the texturizer help to loosen your curls / help how thick your roots may be? Im wondering if i should apply one to my roots to maintain the curl but make it more moveable/manageable when curly/not straight.

why do you use a texturizer? bc i see that your hair is still curly & defined which I LOVE & dont want to lose from my hair if i try it

@imjuswas you can if you want but you have to remember that when your hair grows out it will have the looser curls still. I dont texturize it anymore tho.

you are correct that silicones keeps a person from providing any extra moisture after its been apply and yes, some silicones can only be removed using a sulfate shampoo. however there are also silicones that can be removed from the hair by rinsing the hair either just with water or by adding conditioner (it depends on the type of)

I just wanted to through that out there so if there are people who like the effect that cones has on their hair, they know they can still use them.

It's weird the things that creep people out. I posted a pic of some shed hair to illustrate the amout of shedding I get -and it turns out to be not alot, (Yay!)... And people were freaking... OUT! They were all "Ewwww! Shed hair freaks me out! LoL" I'm like... chill... It's freshly washed hair.. Then one lady said that between the finger texture thing people do to show consistency of products grosses her out. People are weird. LoL!

How much breakage would you say is typical when you wash your hair? I know that everyone's hair varies, I have texturized curls, my hair is thin to begin with and my fam moved to Arizona where the climate is SO dry. I use a wide tooth comb to detangle and i try to deep condition once a week to keep it strong, healthy and moisturized. Do you have any other suggestions on how to prevent breakage? I cleaned out my drain last month and I'm surprised I'm not bald -.-
