I miss Cass and her gorgeous voice, her humour and her positive take on life. She was an inspiration to many people. She did not die of a sandwich by the way. She went on a starvation diet for 30 days, lost all of her weight, as she became anorexic and it killed her. May Cass and many, many of the rockers rest in peace in rocker heaven now. :)
Wow! I never heard Mama Cass sing this one before! Great rendition. It must have been recorded near the end of her life because Paul McCartney released it in 1973, and Mama Cass died the following year. Does anyone know if this recording was taken from her television special "Don't Call Me Mama (Anymore)?"
Also, I would love to see a video of her singing "Song That Never Comes." Does anyone know of one or could post? Thanks, in advance.
Yes it was Kso808. I have that CD and it is sooo great. I wish I can not only just listen , but I wish I can also watch that CBS t.v special, all the tracks are super!!
There really is only one word for songs like this and that is WOW! Orvgg was very wise to use the close-up photos of the artist in repose. The photos enhance the feeling of this song. The singer is devoted to someone ... one we can ony imagine.
Sí, son imagenes que aparecieron el la revista Rolling Stone. En tal entrevista Cass habla de el amor que le tiene a la vida y lo emocionada que está con aparecer en Las Vegas.
The "soul" of Mamas & Papas! Yes, she loved the Beatles and "My love" is wonderful in her voice. Greetings from São Paulo, Brazil.
