Grandfather, i ll always think of ! 17 years old, send to Stalingrad, fought for his life, captivated, for 6 years in confinement, helped rebiulding destroyed Germany, nowadays leader concerning economical aspekts in europe, german machines, german engineering, german financial policy. @barsgold: There are big 'Ifs' both in peace and in war! However after 1941/2 most of Rommel's supplies were sunk by the Royal Navy and the RAF in the Mediterean before they got to Rommel's supply dumps. Hitting supply routes is a vital part of the attack phase of any action in war. Rommel was starved of supplies by positive enemy action!

They didn't have to control because Stuka did it itself. Pilot passed out always in dive. They adjusted altitude for dropping a bomb, bomb was dropped automatically in that altitude and then stuka pulled up also automatically. It was kinda autopilot. Sorry for my english BTW :)
