  • He should have pull on is raisers before pull on is reserve...

  • you can imagine what force he hit the ground if you pause at about 0:36 you can see the parachuters in a plane for a 1/2 a sec

  • Holly SH*T......Ive had some crappy Mals. But that was damn scary..Hope your o.k man...

  • I hope that field was fresh-tilled soil. I'm betting that wasn't a stand-up landing... Was the jumper OK?

  • do somebody know what type of container?

  • what a mess!! i hope he was alive to review that jump....

  • Omg lucky guy!!! I bet he got inured but that's still better than hitting the ground at like 150 km/h

  • did he just put his cutaway handle in his jumpsuit before pulling the reserve? LOL

  • you are one lucky son of a bitch.

  • @jsbach333 I wouldn't call someone who has his main and reserve chutes malfunction lucky.

  • He should've waited after the cutaway for the malfunctioned main to fully leave -- he opened the reserve immediately what caused the big trouble I think.

  • @1001bhp what if you have an RSL?????????

  • @MrJohnnyMarko

wouldnt have helped much...the main chute was still attached to him so wouldnt have got far enough away to act as a pilot chute for the reserve...

im no rigger but i dont think having one would have made any difference

  • @1001bhp it's easy to say on the ground :/

  • Siniiiiiiistro!!!

  • this guy suffered minor injuries how i've read somewhere else

  • That's why a horseshoe is so nasty. Looks like a few of his main lines got caught on something. See at 7 secs in, looks like lines stuck on something on the left, causing the spin and deflation of that side (camera helmet, foot, container). He clearly cuts away, but the main is still attached to him, and fouls with the reserve. I dont think this guy walked away from the resulting spinner. He may be alive....but my bet is he got messed up pretty bad.

  • I think it wasn't an even cutaway. Lesson here kids: Make sure when you pull your cutaway handle, it releases at the exact same time on both sides of your risers. Good work though bud, never give up.

  • @JHeaddown I think both risers did cut away but one of the lines of his parachute remained attached to his container flap. I think the real lesson is to keep your linestows such that less than 18 inches of line remain free in the bottom of the container. And make sure they look neat, with no snag points on your body.

  • Respond to this video... also, keep a hook knife handy.

  • OMFG dude

That is the most nasty mal that i've seen!!

glad you're alive! what happened to u?
