  • Nice modification, taking to next level

  • Perfect, congratulations.

  • Hi...i stay in bangalore, please let me know where to purchase this kind of solar cooker

  • Hi, I am planning to make a solar oven and gluing aluminum foil to the sides of a box....do you know if the glue gets too hot from the cooking if it will cause toxic gas to contaminate the food? is there a certain type of glue i should use?

  • Awesome!

  • It takes 30 minutes to cook for 3 people.

  • how long takes to cook ? 8 hrs?

  • better keep the lid on it so the neighbor above doesn't pee on your lunch.

and one earthquake the kid on the street is going to get boiled alive.

  • well done.

  • Does anyone know where to buy a balcony solar cooker?

  • Orientation of balcony needs to be checked and the cooker has to be installed by a skilled operator. Hence we can provide this cooker only in India. Thanks for the interest shown in the product.

  • @LetsCook2gether we here in the usa are not allowed this technology because it would interfere with our high power bills

  • @LetsCook2gether There is another way? Look in my favorites you can build a methane producer. There are people in India that have gotten a methane producer and have not bought LNG in over a year get this they can cook any weather sun shade night day. This methane is naturally produced and if you don't capture it and use it the gas just goes into the atmosphere. Solar cooking good methane cooking awesome RE energy.

  • I want one so bad, i can't stop watching this video. I will have to wait a few months at least though before starting my first solar cooking. Was -35 C two days ago. May all your goals be accomplished, sincerely, Daniel

  • ....could be mylared to make it reflective. I imagine it could be buttoned into place when using, and stored away when not using. Very cheaply made, something like a thermal blanket we use for emergencies here in the frozen north.

  • Have you considered a flat/ semi curved seperate reflector placed upon the railing edge? This could be two pieces, which you could slide along the top of the railing. Better yet, a pie shaped wedge that slides in too place from its storage place behind another stationary wedge. I think you could do this, and then still save some of the lost rays needed for the proper positioning of the pot support by having the missing space covered by a fire retardent soft foam with a concave surface that.....

  • One could also have a swinging dish support, but that seems more dangerous. I think that you could market this to the North American Summer BBQ market, as most of the BBQs are on balconys and decks very similar. I have a concern about their safety under typhoon conditions however. Are the dishes or reflectors easily removable? I think cleaning would not be very hard on this design of yours, since that cut out section allows access, and water and soap can be just drained with the right tilting.

  • I think you could put the dish support and adjustment swivel on the outer side (convex). Then the dish support could be pushed through a much smaller hole and you would be able to use a whole round mirror, or something closer to that. But if this works fine, then who cares.. how is the food and heating? I think if you made it small enough, it would be lower cost and about size of today's smaller satellite dishes, and would be hard to tell difference for a landlord. Less powerful then, though.

  • I really like this design, I can see myself cooking with a pressure cooker , and heating up some side dishes in a solar box oven on a little ledge next to it. I could warm some water for a shower using a solar bag and hang it from the roof of the balcony. I like how the rays are concentrated outwards and not towards the body or the eyes of the user, safer and more comfortable. You give up a quarter of the reflector though, but it return you get easier access to check on food.

  • awesome, just don't let it drp on your neighbor's head!

  • Why doesn't everyone do that?

  • Very nice arrangement.

  • Thanks.

Another advantage is that this does not eat up space from your balcony. Backside of cooker is in Shed, which can be utilised for some work.

  • fantabulous! Not only is this the best way to cook, but it also keeps the heat from building up inside.

  • Marvelous !

Please, give some drawings to build one !
