  • The Quality of BL cars were as good as Peugeot, Fiat, Renault and even BMW of the 70s....

  • think iv only seen one princess on the road today i wander how the fuck the owner got the parts after all bl are long gone im just glad i haven seen a morris marina or a allegro

  • They cut the end...'ist ein bag of schise'

  • BL cars were absolutely terrible, all of them. I'm glad it's over.

  • Bet the front suspension & steering rack needed replacing after that little jaunt...

  • @ChromeDrifter71 No way! The suspension on the Pricness like most other Leyland cars of the time used the Hydragas system which really is supple enough to drive over a field at that speed without shaking the car to bits! The suspension and steering won't have suffered at all. The only suspension to do it better was the Citroen Hydropneumatic which cost about 10 times as much to make! No steel sprung car can come close to giving the same ride quality on both rough and smooth surfaces.

  • @marklandynut I stand corrected...

  • @ChromeDrifter71 yeah dont think it made it much further after this shoot.

  • what soundtrack in 0.22 to 0.50

  • "The Leyland Princess -

    WAKE UP, SHEEPLE!"

  • I wish my car were able to overtake a tractor like the Austin Princess does.

  • that princess must of been immediatly serviced after THAT account...

  • austin dog shit

  • Love the 70's sound track!

  • Ironically, that car would have probably self destructed once it hit the field. I should know, I have a BL era Jaguar!

  • Haha, the princess kicks ass! Love your videos!

  • if you did that nowadays you would be sued by the landowner

  • BL car were always terrible but they had some charm to them that modern cars just don't and never will.

  • @MasterBattle2000 Absolutely correct on both accounts!

  • @MasterBattle2000 u mean the same charm as an alpha romeo right?

  • @mikeluscher159

yeah that sort of charm they may be badly built but they have their moments when their perfect

  • @MasterBattle2000 this is true

  • @MasterBattle2000 besides th allegro and marina/ital oh and the maxi

they were good cars only terrible quality

  • Brilliant! "...long life and trouble free motoring..." !!! My father test drove one of these in 1980 and I must say we were all really impressed with how smooth and quiet it was. Mind you that was compared to a 1956 Daimler...

  • Try that today you'll be shot for trespassing!

  • The reg. number on it came from an Alfa apparently!:

    Registration JWR803N

    Make ALFA ROMEO

    Model 2000

    Description GT VELOCE

    Engine Capacity(cc) 1962

    Year Manufactured 1975

    CO2 Emissions (g/Km)* Not Available

VRT Rate % ** Not Available

  • German advert, British registered Princess, but left hand drive! Weird

  • Yeah, and on an N-reg too which probably comes from an 18-22 series model, Princesses were P-reg onwards.

  • lolololol nice one
