Gotta hand it to James, he learned alot from his pal David Bowie. Always his strongest character attribute, his abilty to listen to what others say and not let ego or pretensions get in the way is astounding. Bowie taught Iggy about the amazing quality of his voice and where he could take it. This album is a perfect example of taking it yet to another genre. Iggys continual willingness to experiment, unphased by critics and fan rebuttal, is what allows him to remain a significant artist.
Iggy ... the guy's always been some sort of wonder to me.
He doesn't care about any rule at all ... this gives lots of musical jewels.
"Avenue B" was also a great jewel in that vein.
Iggy rocks, Iggy blues, Iggy swings, Iggy bossas, Iggy tangoes, etc ... and he never sounds like all these musical genres ... and nobody sounds like Iggy.
If he could just live longer than me ... that would be fine for me.
Someone puts him in a fridge, and take him out when it's time to write a good song.
I absolutely agree with you jaroussky :D IGGY SHALL OVERCOME!!!!!!!! A bit more seriously, this album first suprised me a bit, but it really suits to him and his voice
rock is ovah so so whut s tangable to a demented full of soul skull , ride a wave w/ indians in a lake called tastes like snow yada yada there ya go..school is good
