  • The drums at the beginning are almost the same as in the Star Wars ep. 3 opening:

    watch?v=BIAHHGnpQ3c

  • Shepard: " Where's Joker? ".... Joker:" Why so Serious Shepard? "

  • "joker get us out of here, I dont wanna fight saren anymore with the creepy music"

  • Death in realy BioWar's epic style...

  • Who cares where Bioware is from? They make insanely awesomely epic good games. As long as their games are sold in your country, rejoice!

  • epic goose bumps

  • Love the DUN DUN at the very beginning. It's chilling.

  • @ColonelSmoke That's inspired from the SW Ep 3 opening:

    watch?v=BIAHHGnpQ3c

  • @Alex06CoSonic Ah, thank you sir, I knew it sounded familiar, but couldn't recall where from exactly. What a great inspiration they got here.

  • If I help Sovereign find The Conduit, It'll keep him on the Wii for a few hours while I evacuate nearby worlds. In doing so, I will save more Gamers than have ever existed.

  • This entire ending sequence was just one... I can't even describe it. It still resonates with me today in a way I don't understand.

  • "Saren...that asshole. Makes me want to punch a turian baby. Oh, well, not that I would. Even still, he prostitutes himself to a machine! I have ocular implants and a greybox for starters, but I am still so much more man than machine. Machines work for ME and not the other way around." --Agent W Shepard's musing

  • Zero people were killled by the Geth instantly.

    Oh.

  • Mass Effect is amazing. It's the only game where I've ever actually cared about the characters

  • "The Citadel's closing, they're sealing the station!"

"Don't let enemy ships inside the arms!"

  • Saren is 1 of the best characters

  • @XCMAX10X By the end of the game he turns out to be quite a complex villain

  • Saren is my favorite character in all of creation 0.0

  • how did you get these soundtracks? is there a way to get them of the game disc?

  • I believe there is a soundtrack cd out, check out amazon or something (y)

  • Really? I absolutely adore it.

  • I was actually thinking that they would make it so that if you didnt have saved games to start with or didnt play ME1. that for those people shepard would be dead and they would start a whole new character but i'm sure that would be waaaay to much work for them. its more likely that shepard is believed to be dead but is actually alive.

  • Shepard is alive. What that teaser was is a preview of ONE ending for the game. Yes the game is going to have more than one ending, in one of which you will die.

  • Part of me really hates that one ending is where you die. Especially with a third game coming out eventually. If you die, then what will happen?

  • @GirlWhoPlaysTR

If you die at the end of ME2 then you can't import it to ME3.

  • Actually Shepard dies in the beginning of ME2. He will be rebuild by Cerberus afterwards.

  • If that real, thx for spoilling the game im sitting her and just want so much.

But i got cake so i will survive :D

  • You suck bawls mr spoiler

  • @jawa108 That isn't a spoiler mr. cry me a river. It was shown in 3 different trailers.

  • it said spoiler warning

  • Yeah Shepard is definately alive, it's probs just a kickstart to the continuation of the storyline, faking Shepards death so he/she can infiltrate something or other. I think the Batarians are going to be involved somehow with the reapers, much like the Geth were. Didn't it mention on the galaxy map the Batarians found a huge organic ship?

  • I think the whole Termous (forget how to spell it) system will join the reapers.

  • Yeah they did, but it wasn't a Reaper. Reapers are 100% machine and don't care for organic life at all. What the Batarians found was something else. Maybe there will be more about that in ME 2.

  • How about a rachni mothership of some kind? I can't really see them making real ships. (A little far-fetched but plausible nontheless.)

  • Possibly, we'll see if anything comes of that little tidbit. Personally, I'd like to see it be revealed as a new life form that exists somewhere in the ME universe.

  • If you read the books you would understand more

  • Yes I wrote that comment 2 months ago prior to finishing the books :) I've wisened up :)

  • Books? Are these games based off books or is it the other way around?

  • other way around.

  • Ah mass effect, so many times have i beaten that game, even on Insanity.

  • loved this game:) especially the part on the water planet, with that big epic assault on that facility, that was fun:0

  • they have released a Mass Effect 2 trailer YAY! XD

the geth colosus head in the end looks awsome

  • yes, it looks good but i don´t think shepard is dead

  • This is the whole, "Fuck, you passed something with ulimate power, now chase him down quickly theme."

  • 0:51 is Saren's suicidal moment music!

  • player in the first game will continue to have influences on their character in the sequel. Players who have not played the first Mass Effect will start a new character in Mass Effect 2, and will be brought up to speed on the story elements that have taken place thus far in the series.[ It is highly recommended, however, that people play the first game before playing the sequel. Hudson also states that characters from the previous game will return, provided that they were not killed

  • Wow that truly was day of crisis

  • i agree with the description that mass effect is epic!

  • The game is Epic at an Epic scale.

  • I can imagine legions of ships just like sovereign arriving in mass, and then they just unleash hell on everyone!!!!

  • best western-developed RPG in a long time

  • yeah i always dreamed of sci-fi RPGs

  • @KayneArcheron Knights of the Old Republic is Canadian and only 7 years old, that rocked!

  • @LFfilms

True, but I enjoyed Mass Effect's battle system more and it was an original sci-fi story that IMO rivals Star Wars AND Star Trek in terms of quality.

  • @KayneArcheron Yeah. I prefer the story to both of those because of its Lovecraftian elements. Plus it has loads more time to develop than Star Wars. Star Trek never interested me much.

  • @KayneArcheron Best RPG EVER. :D

  • @KayneArcheron Best RPG ever developed, period. =D

  • @aryonas The inventory system just felt like it was still in it's testing stages, the squad AI wasn't much to really praise as I found Wrex and Tali would often shoot my Infiltrator Shepard in the back during the missions where the pistol was ideal over the sniper rifle. The characters? Aside from Shepard, it's the typical BioWare recycled archetypes that you can see in really any BioWare game. There are other complaints, but those are the most glaring issues I have with the game itself.

  • @Valkod23 voted down XP

  • @Valkod23

i agree with you except for the characters being recycled. but you have to admit that this game is an instant classic...

  • @GENOCIDE2099 You'd have to play older BioWare/Black Isle titles to get what I'm saying. Korgan Bloodaxe, from BG2 is much like Urdnot Wrex, and The Black Whirlwind from Jade Empire is again, much like Wrex. Then you've got HK-47 who is well, superior to all BioWare blood-thirsty killer party members.

Now, Mass Effect's characters are recycled BioWare archetypes, but they're improved versions with their own personalities that aren't so set in stone. IE, Kaiden isn't really like Carth, VA aside.

  • @Valkod23

whoah! i had to go that far? are those games any good? story, pacing, dialogue, etc.

i have only tried BG and NWN.

  • @GENOCIDE2099 Jade Empire has a good story, but the combat is really difficult, you could consider it an alpha version and thus frustrating type of Batman: Arkham Asylum's combat. KOTOR is much like an improved NWN in the star wars universe, but it's best to focus on a combat build due to the final area. BG2 is a vastly superior version of BG, as it's an improved sequel. The pacing is wonderful for the games, the dialogue is funny if you love BioWare characters, and the stories are memorable.

  • @KayneArcheron best game at all

  • @KayneArcheron Best Western? You mean you rate all that Japanese crap?

  • @redplague

I don't nowadays, but Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI were pretty amazing back in the day. the only JRPG in the past 2 years I've been all that impressed with was Lost Odyssey.

  • @KayneArcheron

    dumbass...... mass effect is asian-developed.

  • @Sirumakato I honestly hope you're joking.

    Bioware is an american company.

  • @Wintd1 It is an american company, but many of their head developers are Canadian. Even the voice talents of (both) Shepards were supplied by, you guessed it, Canadians.

  • Nice joke. Lmao Bioware american.

  • @xaxi2007 well, explain how "Star Wars: The Old Republic" is being developed in TEXAS then!? Last time I cared to check, TEXAS was one of fifty states of America? You just got served, bitch.

  • @89Wrathchild Mcdonald, american and everywhere in the world...Bioware have multiple studios but it is still Canadian. Canadian company owned by 2 canadian...kthxbye have a nice day and sorry for my english im a frenchy. <3

  • @xaxi2007 Are you a REAL Frenchy, or a pretend Canadian one?

  • @89Wrathchild Aye, Bioware is Canadian. That fact and having THE BEST story telling capabilities in the modern gaming world makes them 1-st on my list. I've played every game they made and was astonished by their imagination and creativity.

  • @89Wrathchild Company originated in Canada, thus it's a Canadian company, LOLFAILSIR.

  • @HalfLord Congratulations. You are no doubt a sad person who actually gets pleasure pointing out others' shortcomings. Bioware is a Canadian company by ROOTS, but most games are developed in USA now! That's like saying that all Americans are Europeans!

  • @HalfLord In-Universe, that's null and void. The U.S. annexed both Canada and Mexico after the Second Civil War. (This American poster isn't happy about that idea though. I like my country the way it is.)

  • @Sirumakato Actually excuse that last comment, they're actually Canadian.

  • @Sirumakato if it was asian developed they would of had a Dragon Ball Z type death to sovereign, which would have spoiled it for me

  • @KayneArcheron It was developed in my home town YAY !!!!

  • The cutscene where you see the Sovereign and the Geth fleet come from the citadel relay is really damn breathtaking. This music makes it better

  • smile

  • Lmao

  • mass effect 2 is coming 09 its gonna b sweet i hope they keep the epic music

  • EPIC

  • yea the game is awsome and the music is VERY good..i DEMAND that they make a Mass Effect 2 XD

  • They already stated it is meant to be a trilogy however latest news indicates they could take it further.

  • good - 'cause I don't really want it to end.

  • "Theres still one way to end this! If you got the guts."

    Thank You Shepard. Good-bye

    BANG!

    dramatic music...

  • lol, i love that bit

  • Also, I love this music. So good the way Saren appears from no where and your character is just standing there, screwing him.

  • The end of Mass effect is undoubtly the most epic end I ever have experienced.

  • Agreed, the ending gives that bussing feel, that leaves you thinking 'Wow!'. Its the way everything is doomed, the Citadel is under attack and then you arrive in your Mako and then the Normandy arrives at the last minute to save to day while you take down Saren. This game is unbelievablely good!

  • same man sent goosepumps down my spine

  • u should really hear the beginning bit of this song through hd speakers, very powerful

  • Ya, only happens if you've mastered 'charm', or 'intimadation'.

  • he shot himself wtf i didn't see that :{{{{

  • HOLY SHIT MASS EFFECT IS THE BEST GAME EVER CREATED!! IT BEATS EVERY MOVIE I HAVE SEEN ASWELL!! *turns off caps* :D

  • "Goodbye, shepard. Thank you."{shoots himself} The first time I saw that part, I was like "WHAT THE HELL"? I did not see that part coming.

  • harsh though shepard still does the make sure he's dead thing

  • Yeah. But Saren comes back to life!

  • When Saren sacrifices himself it's this song. 0:50 forward. Flux music isn't on the OST

  • mass effect music and the game is absolutely awesome and what was the music when Saren shoots himself

  • it really depend on taste

  • BEST GAME EVER!!!

  • mass effect flux music

  • I LOVE MASS EFFECT!

  • Awsome, just simply awsome. Very well composed too.
