The real question here is Should we prevent the spread of a disease..or should we treat people after they get sick?...and the answer is clear..prevent the spread...When the American support for Israel ends...when the killing of the Palestinians ..Iraqis and Afghanis end...then the reason for extremism will diminish..Islam encourages Muslims to defend themselves...not to be aggressors. I'm a woman, I cant have a wife, and the minimum age for a girl to get married is 16, I never heard of a 3 y/o wife, only a 9 y/o in Yemen. And I dont have a TV set, I have a plasma flat screen tv mounted on the wall, and I dont live in a state. I'm worth a lot :)

The system in Saudi is very different than it is in the UK or any other western country, if the woman is abused in any way she goes to her family, and families love their daughters far too much, we dont need shelters!

Dude, I'm a saudi married woman, you're talking about a total different country. No one is forced to get married to anyone, because the Shiekh who writes the contract has to meet the girl and ask her if she is saying yes willingly. We have do have social service institutes that are there to protect victims of abuse. and 16 is the age limit, that was stated by our parliament (mjls elshora). And its not my cousins only who live in saudi, I LIVE IN SAUDI. And again, HONOR KILLING DOESNT EXIST! Because its a very conservative environment, only girls who are VERY liberal who'd commit adultery, and in very few cases are caught. And from the cases I know of, the girl gets deported for a couple of years, so she wouldnt have to live with shame, and thats very islamic. This is Saudi not pakistan,with all due respect

main reasons are when a girl refuses to marry someone her father is keen on ... usually not always b/c hes old

her father sees it as an insult (disregarding her right to veto in islam) and beats her, but if this does not work he or her brother kills her
