I feel that bookers sometimes in TNA get blame for talent not delivering. If you put 2 great workers into a match and they dont bring it...thats not on creative.Thats on those wrestlers. I felt this AAO card was solid enough and for whatever reason some of the talent just didnt bring it. I feel the bookers put together a good card though.

Booker T vs. Shane Sewell. Why was this even on the Card? there was no build up for it and the match was horrible.
Abyss vs Matt Morgan. I was expecting more for this match. It had a nice build up, but the match wasn't very good. Petey vs Scott. The crowed said it all.
Mangus an open challenge and you it's Sabin? Come on TNA.
Ya cant compare this ppv to December to Dismember, that ppv was just....not one good match...even the Elimination Chamber was terrible. Atleast in this ppv you prob had 3 maybe 4 good matches. Beer Money Inc always rock, Alex Shelly Vs Eric Young was better then expected and Stiener did better then expected and it was nice to see the return of his old finisher. But yeah you cant compare it to the ECW ppv
Well, WWE is actually pretty damn good at the moment. It's like WWE is the right way to do Sports Entertainment and TNA is showing you the exact wrong way to do it.

I love watching your TNA rants because you seem to feel as frustrated as I do! I just don't think TNA knows who its audience is or doesn't know which audience to aim at. WWE has the kiddie audience - most of the chants at WWE come from pre-pubescent voices. TNA need to realise they aren't going to take the kiddie audience away from WWE. The main problem that I have with TNA is that they miss way to many moves. I watch it and you can see the mistakes clear as day. It makes your porduct look bad. Help me out guys. I have been out of wrestling for a while and I do not know who is still healthy or even working in the business anymore. I was thinking about wrestlers who might be good to be brought in (or back) to TNA. What is the status of Van Vader, Sean O'Haire, Trevor Murdoch, Raven, CW Anderson, Jerry Lynn, Steve Corino and Sabu?
He actually was awesome over in Puerto Rico (except for the fact that he was called The Glamour Boy and ripped Flair off every 2 seconds). Just the typical case of an injured wrestler that never fully recovered. When they return here on March 20th I know he'll get a huge pop. The guy spent so many years wrestling here (95-05 or so) he was pretty much declared Puertorican, lol.
That said, I like the guy, but I don't feel he should be wrestling again. Stick 2 the striped shirt, Shane.
TNA, 2 "really" be competitive must become a true alternative 2 WWE.. They need to push their younger talent or talent that can still wrestle to the moon! Instead they push The Main Event Mafia which is more reminiscent of WCW's final days than anything i've seen in wrestling since. At least WWE pushes their younger talent more.. Look @ their main faction The Legacy (all under 30) Look @ TNA's Main Faction (All r over 40, 3 of them pushing 50) How does TNA expect 2 be Revoulutionary like that?
Interesting post. I watched TNA (steadily) back when Scott Hall pulled a "no show" @ one of their PPV's. From there, I started to watch the WWE, yet again (pissed). From the lame s/l and the brand of crappy production that the WWE was putting out, I was seriously considering going back to view TNA; but unfortunately, it looks like they're having their problems, as well.
Kong has a bad back and possibly needs knee surgery. But yeah I agree they should've taken the belt off Kong and had ODB feud with Sojo Bolt or Raisha Saeed..
But your assuming Paul Heyman wants to work for them. If Paul Heyman was interested in TNA they would've hired him a long time ago. Except Terry Taylor they should fire everyone on their creative staff and bring in new people with new ideas.
I didn't watch the show so I can't say anything about the creative side of booking but I don't understand why Jarret thought it was a good idea to keep the titles on two injured wrestlers.
only reason i can think of is they can rest till after Destination X. 2 titles and a paper title can still be on the line and can rest Sting and Kong till Lockdown, i think thats the next PPV after Destination X
I'm curious about something. I havent seen ROH ever since Samoa Joe was on his long run as Champion. I know you are a big ROH fan, but is it worth following up on ROH now compared to the Joe era? If so, what recent matches did you find were the best matches to watch that would convince me to follow up on ROH?
That was a much better review and worse PPV than Hard Justice 07. The way Joe was "used" was bullshit, I wonder how many people bought the PPV expecting Joe to actually return.
Brutus Magnus was brought in for the UK tour; he is under said gimmick because he is one of the Gladiators for the UK version of the show, like Matt Morgan was in the US.
Chris Masters may be available, but he's lost about 20-25lbs of muscle since getting off the gear and leaving WWE (look at him on RVD's channel)
even if he lost 20-25lbs he woudl look better than Magnus he has just a great body even when he is not jucied. couldn't find the video you where talking about but I have seen him at the size you are talking about.

Of course not they basicly through away a year of angles once Angle showed up. Joe for one had to wait how much longer to get a title becouse angle showed up..though to be fair TNA had been going down hill before then.
I personally thought TNA was at their best from about the time they got on Spike til I'd say about June or July of 06. To me, just about everything they did clicked storyline wise & it was just an entertaining product overall.
I know everyone else seemed to love 05, but I just didn't like alot of the stuff that Dusty booked in the 1st half of the year, & that period that Impact was on their site was hard to sit through because it was just tragic to watch the shows on my computer.
As for Angle I dont dislike him but my feeling is that TNA is treating him like hes Hulk Hogan or The Rock, and he is not and never has been.
Angle was never the top guy in the WWE. He was a main eventer, World Champ, & a great wrestler, but he was never the poster boy. In 2000 it was Rock, and then Austin came back, & then it shifted to Lesnar, & then after that Angle went through a period where he got hurt every other week it seemed. While that happened, the poster boy became Cena.
Once again, I'm not saying didn't do great things in the WWE, and he interacted well with all the guys I just named, but he was NEVER the Number One Guy in the WWE. He was never their MVP, because if he was, the show would have fallen apart when he got injured so damn much.
So basically my point is he's not a Megadraw and he needs to stop being the focus of TNA's creative direction. Which aint gonna happen cause its Sting vs. Angle again.....joy. Great the 1st time, but I want different!
See I could see where things where doing by that point as Montey was clearly not going to get the belt and things where going in the wrong way and I have watched to much wrestling not to see what was going to happen.
Well I knew Monty was ruined the second they turned him heel. There was no way he was going to get the belt as a heel with Jarrett around. And then when they actually had him tag with Kip James and feud with 3LK, I knew it was over.
I think monty would have been a very good "cool" heel who could fued with heels and faces. Being a good bridge from JJ to Joe but never happend. TNA has never learned from that as they make the same mistakes everytime they have a MEGA over talent who was not a WWE guy.
It sounds like TNA has already given up on Magnus. They jobbed him out to Homicide on Xplosion.
Now if this were me, instead of building him up as a Gladiator, I would have made him like Paul Burchill was when he first went to the WWE. Basically just a mean spirited Bad Ass that likes to hurt people. He isn't overly huge, but athletic, and goes out of his way to hurt his opponents.

I haven't watched TNA in many months now because I just got fed up with their crap, and by the sounds of this video, I'm really glad I haven't. This sucks too, because I really used to like TNA. I never missed a PPV for like 2 years, but they really fucked up.

i got sent this video, and im not a tna fan but just looking at the line up of the ppv, its looks like a regular show, really doesnt look like ppv. nothing pulls me to tna, i watched it b4 they have talent but thats about it. the octagon ring is cool but to sum it all up its cheesy, i gave it a chance just becuz of kurt angel and its fucking cheesy. they could do alot with abyss, samoa joe all these ppl but the storylines suck. i luv wrestling so ill be waiting..........for something "good" lol

ODB tries to slam Kong. ODB fails.
ODB fights back with chops and kicks.
ODB manages to slam Kong. Commentators mark out.

He actually was awesome over in Puerto Rico (except for the fact that he was called The Glamour Boy and ripped Flair off every 2 seconds). Just the typical case of an injured wrestler that never fully recovered. When they return here on March 20th I know he'll get a huge pop. The guy spent so many years wrestling here (95-05 or so) he was pretty much declared Puertorican, lol.
That said, I like the guy, but I don't feel he should be wrestling again. Stick 2 the striped shirt, Shane.

TNA, 2 "really" be competitive must become a true alternative 2 WWE.. They need to push their younger talent or talent that can still wrestle to the moon! Instead they push The Main Event Mafia which is more reminiscent of WCW's final days than anything i've seen in wrestling since. At least WWE pushes their younger talent more.. Look @ their main faction The Legacy (all under 30) Look @ TNA's Main Faction (All r over 40, 3 of them pushing 50) How does TNA expect 2 be Revoulutionary like that?

Interesting post. I watched TNA (steadily) back when Scott Hall pulled a "no show" @ one of their PPV's. From there, I started to watch the WWE, yet again (pissed). From the lame s/l and the brand of crappy production that the WWE was putting out, I was seriously considering going back to view TNA; but unfortunately, it looks like they're having their problems, as well.

WWE is awful too, but at least you can watch it all the way through. TNA makes me want to turn off after 10 minutes.

only reason i can think of is they can rest till after Destination X. 2 titles and a paper title can still be on the line and can rest Sting and Kong till Lockdown, i think thats the next PPV after Destination X

I'm curious about something. I havent seen ROH ever since Samoa Joe was on his long run as Champion. I know you are a big ROH fan, but is it worth following up on ROH now compared to the Joe era? If so, what recent matches did you find were the best matches to watch that would convince me to follow up on ROH?

That was a much better review and worse PPV than Hard Justice 07. The way Joe was "used" was bullshit, I wonder how many people bought the PPV expecting Joe to actually return.
Brutus Magnus was brought in for the UK tour; he is under said gimmick because he is one of the Gladiators for the UK version of the show, like Matt Morgan was in the US.
Chris Masters may be available, but he's lost about 20-25lbs of muscle since getting off the gear and leaving WWE (look at him on RVD's channel)

I personally thought TNA was at their best from about the time they got on Spike til I'd say about June or July of 06. To me, just about everything they did clicked storyline wise & it was just an entertaining product overall.
I know everyone else seemed to love 05, but I just didn't like alot of the stuff that Dusty booked in the 1st half of the year, & that period that Impact was on their site was hard to sit through because it was just tragic to watch the shows on my computer.

As for Angle I dont dislike him but my feeling is that TNA is treating him like hes Hulk Hogan or The Rock, and he is not and never has been.
Angle was never the top guy in the WWE. He was a main eventer, World Champ, & a great wrestler, but he was never the poster boy. In 2000 it was Rock, and then Austin came back, & then it shifted to Lesnar, & then after that Angle went through a period where he got hurt every other week it seemed. While that happened, the poster boy became Cena.

Once again, I'm not saying didn't do great things in the WWE, and he interacted well with all the guys I just named, but he was NEVER the Number One Guy in the WWE. He was never their MVP, because if he was, the show would have fallen apart when he got injured so damn much.
So basically my point is he's not a Megadraw and he needs to stop being the focus of TNA's creative direction. Which aint gonna happen cause its Sting vs. Angle again.....joy. Great the 1st time, but I want different!

Well I knew Monty was ruined the second they turned him heel. There was no way he was going to get the belt as a heel with Jarrett around. And then when they actually had him tag with Kip James and feud with 3LK, I knew it was over.

I think monty would have been a very good "cool" heel who could fued with heels and faces. Being a good bridge from JJ to Joe but never happend. TNA has never learned from that as they make the same mistakes everytime they have a MEGA over talent who was not a WWE guy.

It sounds like TNA has already given up on Magnus. They jobbed him out to Homicide on Xplosion.
Now if this were me, instead of building him up as a Gladiator, I would have made him like Paul Burchill was when he first went to the WWE. Basically just a mean spirited Bad Ass that likes to hurt people. He isn't overly huge, but athletic, and goes out of his way to hurt his opponents.
But right now, Brutus = Trytan + Kozlov

I haven't watched TNA in many months now because I just got fed up with their crap, and by the sounds of this video, I'm really glad I haven't. This sucks too, because I really used to like TNA. I never missed a PPV for like 2 years, but they really fucked up.
The thing is that they're not gonna change until people stop watching. And sadly, today's average wrestling fan seems to be able to put up with the worst "wrestling" in history without changing the channel.

I agree for the most part. Especially the last part of your rant. I think TNA probably has the best roster in all of the wrestling, but the horrible booking waters the product down.
And yeah. Brutus Magnus is awful. I knew he'd never get over from the first time I saw him. He's just...awful.
And the main event was very anticlimactic.
While the show was pretty bad for the most part, I DID mark out once. And that was for the Steiner Screwdriver.

i think TNA's problem is they are trying too hard to be like WWE and they can't. its hard to be like WWE if most of your shows are taped and people are able to view the results almost a month in advance.
