  • FUCK YOU YOU WORTHLESS BUTCH BITCH

  • i dont think rachel is a journalist,,, i believe she is a commentator.

she can have an opinion cant she? isnt it journalists who are supposed to remain unbiased?

  • Let me guess, Maddow is for Obama.

  • If I were there I'd be cheering too. It is very tiring and frankly disgusting to see McCain exploit this to counter any possible unrelated criticism. Why can't he just answer a question straight?

  • John McCain why are you so nasty?

    Because I was a POW.

  • Go Rachel!!!

  • aaaaand Uncle Pat can't even be heard over the cheering.

    how awesome is that?

  • He does use it as a crutch, however, it resonates. There are people who will vote for McCain for no other reason than he was a POW. Many of them ripped John Kerry for his service too. While Rachel may win this point, the RW still frames the overall debate on this stuff. What may seem like rank hypocrisy is often ok if you are a Republican.

  • McCain is using POW as his trump card

  • I wish this clip ran a bit longer to show Buchanan try to spin, fail, and be smacked down by Rachel again (to more roaring cheers of course).

  • I agree that Rachel was right in this interview, but being a POW is a more salient point than saying someone is using it to political advantage.

Think about this: "Vote for me, because I'm a POW!"

"Vote for me, because the other guy is misrepresenting his status as a POW!"

I'm voting for Obama, but this is Obama's greatest challenge in this election: how can he make the American people believe that his opponent is dead-wrong, besides being a POW? The American public doesn't go by facts.

  • That's why that will never be an Obama campaign slogan :)

I honestly think an hour of Rachel could do at least a little to help re-frame issues and get more facts into the debate. Maybe.

And this may sound controversial, but Obama (and his surrogates) have got to stop saying "We honor John McCain's service" etc etc before going on to critique his foreign policy. They've said it enough, we all agree, we get it. Their attacks will resonate more if they don't begin by playing McCain's trump card.

  • "a noun, a verb, and POW"...

  • that was a great clip.

  • Wow

  • OMG! Rachel has her own cheering section!

  • LMAO! Did Pat Buchanan even get a chance to respond over the cheers of agreement?

  • Who cares? He's like McCain,....a
